Modding your own weapons
Well it can't get much simpler!
I'll use an M4 Carbine for example.

Weapon file.
Warning, Modify the one in data/kit if you have no mods and if you do have mods in the mods folder mod the one in the mods/kit file, and if you go into propertires of the weapon you are modding make sure 'read only' is UNCHECKED!!!!And always click save afterwards, not save as.

"assault sight" <The reticule, this is the most annoying 1 in the world as it is just rubbish, change it to a sniper sight i say !
Well thats about it for modding weapons, and use an editor like notepad to start with as it is then easiest!
If you make reticules, it is pretty self explanatory, same with editing grenades, power of bullets and things like that because often the text file tells you exactly what to do, heres a head start, for Grenades goto: ecm for Bullets goto : gcfm, they are the two harder to find things, as most others are very very simple. If you want to edit how many magazines a gun has got, you goto: primary for primary guns and yes guess it : secondary for secondaries! and then special for frags and stuff! You can also change the colours of the reticules in the reticules folder if you fiddle about with the numbers and even make it so small it is like a laser dot! I taught myself how to mod and found out about the sights my self simply by trying different combinations, I even made a very special desert eagle with a sniper scope, grenade reticule, .50 browning ammuniton, silenced and on top of that automatic! it is the ultimate weapon and it took me about 20 minutes, I even made a cool pic for it! Try it it takes no time and if you ever want help don't hesitate to contact me! Plus if you try very hard,(not that hard) just copy some weapons characteristics and you can make your own weapon! One thing you can't do is add sights to grenades.....its really unfair....but wouldn't that be....CHEATING? its up to you to decide...................if you ever make ammo mods that work please send it to me, and if you make weapon mods that work send it to me also, and if you can make maps, tell me how and ill do a guide for the world on that too.
