A year ago a friend of my husband's told us he had quit his job and was signed on with so many promotional web programs that he could afford to quit his job and just surf the net. Now I am not saying that he wasn't exaggerating, but it has come to my attention that other people are getting paid to show me advertising while I am on the web and it has become a sort of side project of mine to check out these companies that say they will pay us to surf, and other types of promotions. Since everyone is getting paid to show me stuff I figured I should get paid too!
I am currently using this company after five years as an aol user. When they say drop the weight its true! I have never been so free online. This company has never yet nagged me about how long I have been online, and I have never gotten a busy signal trying to dial up and I haven't been kicked off except sometimes at around 8am when they seem to be doing some kind of service check. I have now checked it during primetime and got on twice in ten minutes without a hitch or a busy signal! It seemed relatively easy to set up I am really considering staying with them after my free trial is up.
I have looked into their promotional claim. The price is $15 a month. You get paid five dollars a month for everyone you sign up, for as long as they continue. If you sign three people up who like it and continue to use it, your access is free! If you sign on more than three people, the five dollars goes to you each month they are signed on. Importantly the people you refer are offered the same deal. I think that's neat, and it feels great to support the little guy instead of the monster companies who shall remain nameless. There are no ads or banners to view with this ISP. You use your own browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape. Freedom at last. Anyone who has used Aol knows what I mean!
These companies have you download a view bar that shows ads that you can click on if you want. We've all seen these they are on nearly every corporate website you visit. This one is yours. It may even show you ads that are relevant to your lifestyle and needs. The important part though is that you get paid for running it while on the web. I currently use these three:
Spedia was a little bit more difficult to use and it does not seem to want to run with the Aol browser for some reason. It is more sensitive to surfing action than Alladvantage, but again I don't care really cause this is just another one of my experimental hobbies and I have nothing to lose.
Read e-mail and perform other stupid human tricks for points. This may not be worth it but its kind of easy. It never makes money though it only exchanges "points" for gift certificates. Not for the impatient or the easily tempted (many opportunities to shop "for points" which seem to average out to the equivalent of a cent apiece.
My newest kick!
