4. Polar bear fur is white. Some have creamy yellow or
light brown fur.
5. Polar bears have large hind legs.
6. Their feet have 5 toes on each paw. Each toe has a sharp claw. There are long hairs that grow between their toes. This makes them walk on ice and not slip. It also keeps their feet warm. Their paws are like snowshoes.
8. Polar bears have a big black nose and black eyes. They can smell and see very well.
9. Polar bears have 42 sharp teeth.
10. Polar bears have tails.
11. Polar bears have black skin. It absorbs the heat from the sun.
Their thick fur traps the heat from the sun too.
This keeps them warm in the Arctic weather.
