Great Gift Ideas

Hi, I found these ideas watching HGTV.  I hope
you like them as much as I did.

                                Flavored Oils

First you need to buy some really nice bottles with
stoppers or corks.  Craft stores or cooking stores
would be most likely to carry them.

Take a combination of fresh herbs, usually 2 at a
time,  and heat them in hot olive oil.  Carefully,
take the herbs out of the pan and ease them
down  into the bottles.  Then using a funnel
pour oil  in all the way  the top and cover.

A good combination of herbs would be rosemary
and garlic cloves.  It is great drizzled over fish.

Thyme, garlic cloves and lemon zest are
                                          wonderful also.

Use your imagination with the herbs.  Let them
for a couple of weeks and then use them or
                                          give them as gifts.

                                                                Rose Bath OIl

You'll need more lovely bottles for this one.
Gather rose petals, rub them together with your
fingers and shove them inside bottle.  Make
some lemon zest and push it into the bottle too.
Fill the bottle with mineral oil and let rest for a few
weeks.  This is a delightful treat in the bath.
