Title: A gift that will change a life.
Written by: Drew Thiele

At Buckland's - 3 30pm Tuesday -

Claire's Office:

She is staring at a unornated ring, a marble ring, so polished that it seems to glow softly.

"Strange. This ring has no history whatsoever. Maybe this would be a nice gift for Prue. She's been working so hard lately.", is her unbidden thought to herself. Decision made, She stands up, to walk to Prue Halliwell's office.

Knocking on Prue's office door catches Prue's attention. Prue looks up, and sees Claire. "How may I help you, Claire?" She thinks to herself, "Damn! I hope she's not coming by to remind me of 'responsibility' and 'duty' to Buckland's." Prue's face composes itself quickly, and smiles at Claire.

Claire smiles softly, which startles Prue for a moment, but mentions that a ring got lost into the inventory, and it doesn't seem to have any history, whatsoever.

Prue's interest is sparked. "A ring? May I see?" She stretches her hand out, palm outward. Claire places it in her hand. Claire seems oddly embarrassed, but smiles again, replying, "Yes. This ring is yours. A reward for your hard work, and long hours here lately, and Not that many.....family emergencies lately, I am glad to hear." She finishes off the last remark with a small proud smile.

Prue is stunned at Claire's declaration. "Wow. I don't know what to say!", clasps Prue's hands, as she looks at Claire in shock, and wonder. Claire waves a dismissing hand, smiling, and replies, "No Thanks is needed. I hope you or one of your sisters like it." She turns herself around, and walks out of the office without another word, leaving Prue to muse over this ring. "What is going on? Is the world ending? Claire was ACTUALLY *NICE* to me??" She laughs to herself for a moment, but decides to look it up in the BOS anyways, in case it may be something else. She thinks to herself, "Can't be too careful." She gazes at the ring for a few seconds, noticing it glow for a moment, but doesn't think anything of it.

Prue shakes her head, and puts away the ring in her purse, the strange feeling of the ring, forgotten. The rest of the afternoon sneaks by so slowly that it makes Prue anxious to get home. Prue, yawning, stretches herself, and looks at the clock. "6pm. Finally! Time to go home." She arrives at the Manor 45 minutes later. Entering the Front Doors, she shouts, "Piper? Pheebs? Anyone home?"

Piper walks in the Foyer from the Dining Room, and greets her sister, "Hey Prue. How was your day?"

Prue answers her younger sister, "Weird. But uneventful, for the most part. I got something to check out in the BOS. Where's Pheebs?" Piper looks at her sister with an interested glance, but points upward, indicating Phoebe's bedroom. Prue nods, walks up to Phoebe's bedroom, and knocks on the door quietly. "Hey Pheebs?" A doelike face meets Prue's smile, and says, "Hey Sis. What's up?" Piper soon walks upstairs, to meet her sisters at the door. "Hey you two. Dinner's ready. Then you can tell us all about the day you had, Prue."

Phoebe gazes askance at Prue, and questions, "An interesting day? Do tell!" Phoebe's voice raises an octave, and leans forward. "Come on Prue! Spill! A man came into the office to serenade you?" Prue laughs. "Nothing like that, little sis. Although it was freaky in its own." Piper motions with her hands, telling Prue to hurry up and spill it.

Prue looks at her anxious sisters, and grins. "Ok. Guess what?"

Piper and Phoebe say in unison, "What?"

Prue reaches into her pocket, and draws out the shimmering marble ring. The two sisters gasp in awe and reach out to touch it. Phoebe exclaims, "Where did you get that ring?"

Prue simply declares, "Claire."

Piper looks stunned, "What?"

Phoebe looks at Prue, then lets out a laugh. "The world must be ending if she actually gave you that."

Prue lets out a high laugh. She composes herself, "Wait. There's more."

Piper is laughing, holding her sides, and gasps out, "More??"

Prue is now chuckling along with her sisters. "Yeah, I know it's weird. But she actually said that she wanted to give it to me, because it isn't useful at the Auction House, and basically, because of all my hard work, and not calling in sick all the time, or the "Family" Emergencies..." Piper and Phoebe look at her amazed. Phoebe speaks up, "I suppose people can change. We never really knew her, other than the hard shell she puts out daily."

Prue nods at Phoebe, saying, "Yeah. She can be a bitch sometimes, but so can I. I do agree, Pheebs. In a way she's somewhat like me, I suppose. She can be giving, but she's also a protector ...even if it's just of an auction house..." She waves her hand for a moment.

Piper nods, and says, "I wanna see the ring." "Me too Me too!", cries Phoebe, crowding Prue. The ring glistens in their eyes. Piper croons, "It's so pretty. Who's it for?" Phoebe is interested in the answer Prue has. Prue looks at her sisters, and mentions that the ring is for anyone who wants it. The two sisters gaze at Prue and nods. Prue has an idea. "Hey. Why don't we all try it on? And the person who it fits most, will take it?" Phoebe nods along with Piper.

Prue smiles. "Okay. Me first." She tries to slide the ring onto her left ring finger. The ring seems too loose. Prue looks a little dejected, as she tries to keep the ring on, but it keeps sliding off. Finally, Prue gives up with an experasted sigh. She hands the ring to Piper. Piper takes it with excitement, and tries to insert it onto her left ring finger also. It can only go past the first knuckle, and no further.

Piper's hair straggles down her face, and she blows it away, or attempts to. She strains, with a grunt, barely gets the ring past the second knuckle, then gives up. Prue puts her arm around Piper, and murmurs softly, "Sweetie, it won't fit. It seems like it's only made for someone else." Piper concedes defeat, and gives Phoebe the ring. She tenderly takes the ring in her hands, and looks at her sisters, then slides the ring onto her left ring finger. It slips on without effort, and seems to be a snug fit.

Piper looks at Prue, and groans. Prue pats Piper's shoulder. "I guess we know who won." Phoebe giggles, then apologizes, "Sorry, you guys. I like this ring a lot."

Piper smiles after a moment. "That's good. It looks good on you, little sis!" Prue readily agrees with a smile in her face, and voice.

Piper is reminded of dinner by a burning smell. "OH shit! Dinner's burning." She runs downstairs to the kitchen to hopefully rescue their dinner.

Prue chuckles. "I guess it's takeout tonight." Phoebe smiles widely, "Pizza!" The two sisters walk downstairs, Phoebe a step behind Prue. As Prue heads for the Dining Room, Phoebe asks Prue, "Hey. I thought you had to check something in the BOS?" They both stop there for a moment.

Prue thumps her head in an annoyed fashion. "Oh how could I forget? I was going to look for anything that looks like that ring you have on, Phoebe. Claire said it was mixed in with other auction stuff, and she could not find any history relating to it, whatsoever. I just thought I'd get it checked out. I was sorta suspcious about it."

Phoebe nods in understanding, and assures Prue, "No biggie. I can also check it tonight, but I don't remember any magical objects in the book, other than the usual. Necklaces."

Prue smiles at her little sister. Her eyes seem so innocent tonight yet so strong, was Prue's thought to herself. "Okay Phoebe. How about if I go with you tonight, looking in the BOS?" Piper slowly walks into the Dining room at this, wrinkling her nose, and looking downcast. She perks up at the word "BOS", and asks, "What about the Book of Shadows?" Prue quickly explains about her feeling and the ring. Piper nods. "What the hell, I'll come up with you. Besides, It's takeout tonight."

Phoebe looks at Piper with cute eyes, and a baby voice, "Piper, I wanna pizza!" Piper laughs, and hugs Phoebe tightly. Prue wraps herself around her two sisters to form a threeway tight hug. Piper smiles broadly, and laughs, "Okay Pheebs. Pizza it is!"

Phoebe orders pizza, and they all have a blast this evening.

Meanwhile, in the Elder's Councilroom, Leo is intensely furious at the Council. Again. Leo angrily spouts off, "What was SO important to get me here, I was in the middle of a lesson to teach a charge of mine?"

Ramis holds his hand up at Leo, to quieten him. Leo stares at Ramis with fire in his eyes.

"It is not our fault, Leo. This is a remarkable chance for the youngest one to gain her next ability and learn it fast.", remarks a smooth voice, to the left of Ramis.

Leo looks at Ramis, and the other Elder with a strange unreadable glance. "What is this new ability anyways?", asks Leo, curiously.

The smooth voiced Elder shakes his hooded head, and sadly informs Leo, "We don't know for sure. Only time will tell. This is a rare artifact that somehow escaped our treasury. It is the Ring of Animal Memory."

Leo has never heard of this artifact before. "What is it?", asks Leo.

Ramis looks at Leo, with an unreadable glance, and shifts in his seat. "Ah... well. It is a ring that has preserved memories of animals' powers and bodies. Mainly Mythical Animals."

Leo stares at Ramis. "What? How can that be? I thought they were only that. Mythical."

The smooth voiced Elder shakes his head. "No. They were indeed real. If a VERY long time ago." He pulls his hood back and stares intensely into Leo's eyes. "It must NOT be misused. In combination with her burgeoning ability...."

Leo stands there, frustrated, and feeling his hands are tied.

Ramis nods at Leo. "You can tell your sisters, but the ring chooses its own. I'm afraid if Phoebe puts it on, it may stay on. I only hope she can withstand the new ability, and its chaos."

Leo ponders over what they say about the ring, and asks, "What do you mean? You mean...!"

Ramis nods solemnly. "Leo, you must wait until she has indeed tried the ring. Otherwise, it may not manifest." Leo is shocked, nods determiningly, and hurriedly orbs out in a twinkling of blue and white lights.

Three Nights Later....of searching fruitlessly through the BOS...

Phoebe is tossing and turning, muttering to herself, having dreams. Or is it nightmares?

A vision seemingly from eyes not her own, roams the forests. She feels like she is galloping, but yet, she feels human, yet part of a horse. The dream feels strange to her. She looks around, frightened, but yet empowered with the knowledge that she could handle herself. An arrow whistles, grazing her side. She screams in pain, clutching her side. She wildly looks around for the assailant, but can't see them. She stands still, listening to the sounds of the forest. Tall Pine trees tower over her, while birds are silent, not calling out to each other. She looks around nervously. She reaches over her shoulder, to find a bow and a quiver of arrows there. She fumbles with the bow and arrow. Placing the arrow in the bow, she aims, looking around. A grizzled man with a menacing gaze stepped out in front of her. He laughs, which sends chills down her back. She aims the bow at his heart. He quickly moves forward to stab her in the heart. She quickly lets the arrow loose, and her aim is accurate, sending the grizzled man clutching his heart, and falling backwards.

She wakes up suddenly in a sweat. "What the hell was that all about?", is her thought. "I need a drink of water.", was her trailing thought, as she quietly walks down the stairs to the kitchen. She stumbles into Piper, who is making tea. "Well hello little sis. What has you up so late?" Phoebe rubs her eyes sleepily. "I don't know. I think a dream woke me up. or something. I can't remember the dream too well. Something about being chased. I felt wierd. Like I was part of 2 somethings. Like I had 4 legs, and a human top part? Anyways. I needed something to drink." Piper looks strangely at Phoebe. "You sure you're okay? That sounds like a strange dream. Here. Have some tea."

She gives Phoebe a steaming cup of tea. Phoebe smiles in gratitude toward Piper. She cradles the cup of tea close to her, and sips, thinking of her dream. Piper smiles at her little sister affectionally. Piper questions in a soft voice to Phoebe, "Feel better?"

Phoebe mm-hmms and nods momentarily. Piper puts her arm around Phoebe. Phoebe looks up at her and smiles. Piper asks, "Is there anything in your dream you want to talk about?"

Phoebe suddenly feels uncomfortable, and shakes her head. Piper notices right away, and prompts Phoebe, "What is it sweetie? You can tell me anything."

Phoebe sighs to herself. "Um. Okay. Well. I mentioned I was being chased, right? Anyways. Well, what I didn't say was that a grizzled man threw an arrow at my side, and I felt it. I saw him in front of me. He was going to kill me. I found I had bows and arrows. I aimed, and shot him."

Piper's hand goes up to her mouth in shock. "Oh Pheebs! I'm sure it wasn't you. It sounds....like... I can't put my finger on it."

Phoebe looks at her sister, with tearstained cheeks. "But... I did. I did it with premediated thought."

Piper refuses to believe her sister could be a murderer, even in her dreams, and profusely tells Phoebe so. Phoebe smiles wanly and snuggles into Piper's grasp.

Phoebe muses on it some more. "It's weird. It's like it was a dream, but maybe also a memory?" Piper looks at her, and leads her back to her room. Once inside, they sit at Phoebe's bed, and Piper finally breaks the silence with, "What do you mean, Memory?"

Phoebe shakes a little. She looks at Piper with innocent and frightened eyes. "Well...It seemed like I was reliving it, as well. Like that person "was" me. I don't understand it!" She sobs a little. Piper pats Phoebe's shoulder, "Shhh. I'll stay with you tonight, if you want me to." Phoebe smiles at Piper, and says with a warm smile, "Aww big sis. Thanks. I appreciate it." Phoebe lays down on the bed. Piper lays down next to her, her arm wrapped around Phoebe's waist. They both drift off to sleep, undisturbed by strange dreams.

Phoebe's bedroom door is opened wide. "Rise and Shine!", remarks a cheerful Prue on a Saturday morning. Piper and Phoebe grumble at Prue. They blink their eyes at the bright sunny day that is streaming through the window. Phoebe groans, "It's SATURDAY! I wanna sleep." Piper chuckles at Phoebe's tone. Prue looks at Phoebe. "You okay sis? You look kinda under the weather." Phoebe mutters something about early birds being shot. Piper only overhears her comment and snickers. Piper nods at Prue. "We'll meet you downstairs, Prue."

"Okay, sweetie.", is the parting comment, that trails behind Prue as she heads downstairs. Piper rubs Phoebe's shoulder and slyly whispers in Phoebe's ear, "If you get up now, I'll make your favorite breakfast. Chocolate Chip Pancakes." Phoebe opens one eye at Piper, then giggles. "Ok. I'll be right there." After 15 minutes, both sisters amble down the stairs, to the kitchen. Phoebe plops herself in a chair at the kitchen table. She rubs her temples, and blinks, yawning. Prue chuckles at the sight. "I didn't think you would get up SO early. I wonder what Piper promised?" Piper cracks a secret smile at Phoebe.

Phoebe grins, with bleary eyes. "Well...my favorite breakfast."

Prue grins, "AH HA! Chocolate Chip Pancakes. Right?" Phoebe giggles tiredly. Prue drools. "Oooh. I want some too." Piper laughs at Prue's expression. "Alright Prue. We'll make some for EVERYONE. I just hope I have enough Chocolate chips." Prue smiles widely and is eagar to eat. Prue and Phoebe fidget for a few moments, driving Piper nuts. "OK OK. You can put chocolate chips in your pancakes. Phoebe, you first." Prue pouts, "Aww no fair. I wanna go first." Piper looks at Prue with a stern glance, but breaks out laughing. "Prue, you can wait your turn! Go ahead Phoebe."

Everyone has a great breakfast, and the day speeds up so fast, Phoebe forgets to tell Prue about her dream. She is having so much fun, that she doesn't notice the ring glowing bluish, and burning softly.

That night, Phoebe collapses onto her bed. "Whew. That was a long day." Prue and Piper are in their own beds, sleeping. Phoebe looks at her ring closely. She notices it glowing a little, but shakes her head, muttering, "Must be a trick of the light." She soon falls asleep.

Not too far from the Manor, in an warehouse, a youngish looking female, dressed in a red dress, and blue shawl, peers into a crystal basin filled with water. She smiles cryptically, and peers at Phoebe through the water. "She's wearing the ring! I must have it. With it, my power will be greatest in the world!", declares Giona in an urgent voice. She has a devilish smile on her face as a plan forms in her mind.

Phoebe is untroubled by her dreams this night. All is quiet in the Halliwell Manor for the moment, but all will explode in an event that will change their lives. The next day, Phoebe yawns and stretches her arms, as sunlight pours into her room. She looks at the clock which says "11:30 am", and takes a languished approach to the day. She keeps peering at her polished marble ring, and has a strange feeling that it belongs to her, and only her. She is lost in the beauty of the ring, when the front doors slam, with Prue entering the Foyer, interrupting her reverie. Phoebe looks up at Prue's angry expression emanating from her face and body, and asks, "What's wrong, Prue?"

Prue growls at Phoebe for a moment, then takes a deep breath. "Sorry, I'm just fed up with Buckland's. Claire asked me to come in this morning, and what do I find, but stuff that could easily be done by someone else. I wanted to stay home and spend the day with my sisters!"

Phoebe comforts Prue, putting her arm around Prue's shoulders. "It's okay Prue. It's still early. We can still do something." The dream comes back to her in a startling flash and a premonition all rolled up in one. She stiffens up in Prue's arms. Prue looks worriedly at Phoebe. She asks, "Pheebs, you okay? What did you see?"

"A...A... female warlock?, commanding me to give her the ring? She tried to take it by using a spell to make me take it off, willingly. And ...I can't understand this part...I couldn't give her the ring, and somehow I turned into a half human, half horse?? That's so strange."

Prue stares at her sister with an expression mixed with concern and worrying. "Pheebs...Let me think...A half horse, half human..? Sounds like a Centaur?? How can that be? Are you sure that's what happened?" Phoebe looks guilty and Prue looks at Phoebe, and says, "What is it, Pheebs. You can tell me."

Phoebe struggles out of Prue's grasp, and walks over to the couch, and slumps into it. She explains to Prue that she had a dream a few nights back, not leaving anything out, not even killing that man. Prue is stunned, and rushes over to Phoebe, sits down, and cradles her little sister. She assures Phoebe, "Why didn't you tell me about the dream? Do you know when it will happen? Whatever it is...We will figure it out. I am postive you didn't kill that man. But...that transforming thing is sorta hard to imagine."

Phoebe shrugs softly, her shoulders drooping, then looks at Prue. She says, "I don't know when. It seemed like late afternoon, or nearing evening. I didn't tell you about it, because I had to get up for something to drink, and I saw Piper in the kitchen, and I just told her. It's just that the next day I was planning to tell you, but I forgot all about it, since we were having fun."

Prue nods gently, and hugs Phoebe tighter. "It's okay Pheebs. At least we know what is going on, at least in part. Dammit. I *KNEW* there was something about that ring." She points to Phoebe's marble ring resting on her left ring finger. Phoebe looks into Prue's eyes, and utters, "This ring...it feels like we belong to each other, or something. It's a little weird feeling, but...it doesn't 'feel' bad, or anything."

Phoebe's eyes glisten with unshed tears, and hugs Prue back. Prue smiles at Phoebe. "Hey Pheebs. How about if we find Piper, and just try to have fun?" Phoebe blinks rapidly to clear her eyes, and nods. She grins broadly.

Prue exclaims, "Ok! Let's go!" They search for Piper. They find her in the kitchen baking chocolate chip cookies. The aroma wafts throughout the kitchen. Both sister's mouths drool at that smell.

Piper grins at their gluttoneous expressions at the aroma. "Smells good, doesn't it?", claims a proud Piper.

Phoebe says in a cute voice for a moment, "Ohhh yeah!" Prue chuckles at Phoebe.

Piper brings out the first batch of chocolate chip cookies out, and lays them on a rack to cool. Phoebe sneaks one off the rack, and Piper almost swats Phoebe's hand with the spatula. "HEY! Wait till they're cool!" Piper grins.

Phoebe has a sheepish look on her face, and still eats the hot-fresh baked cookie. Prue smiles.

And they enjoy an afternoon of baking, and eating. And by the time they are finished, only a dozen cookies are left.

They head upstairs, after Phoebe saying, "Can you guys help me study for my psych exam? I got flash cards. All you guys have to do is read the questions on the cards, and I'll try to answer correctly."

Piper and Prue agree, and help Phoebe for the last few hours of the afternoon. The atmosphere instantly changes as a female warlock shimmers in. The three sisters instantly form a fighting stance. Prue tries to throw the warlock but it has no effect. Piper also tries to freeze the warlock, also to no effect.

Giona laughs at the witches' attempts. "You cannot affect me with your normal witch powers. I need that ring that she has." She points to Phoebe. She advances onto Phoebe, who is stunned. She can't believe she only wants this ring. She suddenly feels protective of it. The ring starts glowing. A flashback of a Centaur forms in Phoebe's mind.

Giona becomes impatient, and chants a spell:

"The ring that is not yours,
 Will become mine,
 It's powers become mine,
 Now, until forever!"

The ring pulses on Phoebe's finger, to almost become too painful for Phoebe. The ring seems to be slowly sliding off her finger. She cries out in agony. Leo's voice echoes in her mind, "CONCENTRATE!"

That voice snaps Phoebe out of her pain, and she looks around for Leo, saying, "Leo?"

Leo telepathically sends Phoebe another message, "Concentrate on that Centaur Image. NOW. Do it! And use the bow and arrow on Giona. It's the only way. Trust me!"

Phoebe gulps some air, and nods. She holds the ring, concentrating on a centaur. She is surrounded by sparkles of white light mingling with blue. She is instantly formed into a centaur, with powerful hooves, with a bow and a quiver at her back. The two sisters are stunned at the sight. They stand there immobile taking in the sight. Giona curses, "Damn. She's figured it out." Prue looks at Giona, thinking, "What? It's a ring of morphing..?" Phoebe is calm, but reliving her dream, instead of the grizzled man standing there, Giona takes his place, menacing grin on her face. She draws back the bow, and lets fly. The arrow speeds and starts glowing whiter, as white as hot flame. Giona tries to evade the arrow, but it strikes true into her heart. She screams for a few moments, and the white flame from the arrow engulfs the warlock into a pile of ash.

Phoebe staggers in her new four legged form, and blinks, looking down at herself, and screams. "WHOA!" She dances wildly, for a few seconds, as her sisters stare at her. Prue says, "What the hell is going on?" Piper is shaky, and has to sit down on the bed.

Leo orbs into the bedroom, and sees Piper, and rushes over to her to curl his arm around her. Prue is a little angry, and says, "OK. What is GOING on??"

Leo looks a little guilty. "I was not supposed to interfere, until she realized she could morph ... into animals. That ring is an ancient artifact that somehow disappeared from the treasury of the Elder's Council. It looked like all might have been lost, so I had to 'talk' to Phoebe. In her mind."

Piper revives a little at Leo's embrace, and looks at Phoebe, still in Centaurish form, and says, "That is so amazing."

Phoebe giggles softly. She still has her shirt on, she notices. Phoebe says, "I thought all Centaurs were supposed to have gone 'naked'? So why didn't I?"

Leo smiles at Phoebe's bluntness. "Well. As far as I know, the ring has memories. Memories of Mythical Animals. Their powers. Body 'forms' as well. I ... guess... it can't hurt to mention another thing."

Piper stares up, scared for Phoebe, into Leo's face, and asks tremelously in a quiet voice, "I hope..that doesn't mean that this form is permanant?"

Leo laughs quietly. "Hardly. She can transform back. All she has to do is think of an image of who she was."

Phoebe paws the floor with her front left leg. "Are you sure, Leo?" She bravely tries, holding her ring, thinking of how she used to be. A white and green sparkle forms around her. Phoebe is back to her human self, and whoops. "Wow. That was FREAKY! So...you are telling me I can do this anytime I want?" Leo nods, but has something to say. "Phoebe... The magic in that ring is very powerful, and deemed rather infinite, but I wouldn't practice it in public."

Prue lets out a shaky laugh. "NO kidding! You practically scared us, Sis, but think about the other people who aren't even used to WITCHES, let alone Warlocks and Demons." Piper smiles, relieved that this effect isn't permanant.

Phoebe has a question for Leo. "Hey. You said there was something else you wanted to say?"

Leo nods. "Oh I forgot. Well... Let me try this." He sees Kit walk into the bedroom. He says, "Concentrate on Kit."

Phoebe says, "What? Why?" Her sisters are puzzled. Prue hesistates before asking, "Leo? You mean she can morph into regular animals?"

Leo nods. Phoebe is amazed at this news. She rubs her hands together, and crosses her eyes, concentrating on Kit's form.

Phoebe yells as she shrinks to the form of a cat that looks just like Kit. Her yells are cut off, and replaced by meows. Piper stares. "Whoa. That is freaky." The two sisters stare at two identical cats. Prue smiles as she notices a difference. She points to Phoebe's collarless neck. "That's how we know. She can morph into Kit, but we would know, since she doesn't have the collar too." Leo picks up Phoebe into his arms, and says into Phoebe-Kit's ear, "Morph back, Phoebe."

He puts her down, and she morphs slowly back to her normal 'form', clothes and all. Catlike ears became human ears, Nose became human, the body grows larger. It seems that her 'fur' was replaced by clothes. She shakes her head, blinking at this new power. "Wow. This is SO cool." Leo is amused by Phoebe's comment.

Leo puts a serious face on, and says to the sisters. "Yes. It is a cool power, but it can be abused."

He continues, "The three rules are:

One. Only do it to help defeat warlocks/demons. (Spying, relaying messages, power attack, etc.)

Two. Only do it if it is extremely necessary. Like, for example, if you MUST use a special form to 'sense' magic, or follow a scent of magic.

Three. All they told me is that certain warlocks or demons, or a force of darkness can only be defeated by a particular form of mythical animal."

Leo adds as an afterthought, "Plus, your normal forms would be enough, in most cases. But I would suggest you dig up information on mythical animals, plus their alleged strengths. And pictures of many different animals, until you know how to visualize different ones."

Phoebe looks at Leo. Prue studies Leo's face. Piper ponders this to herself. Phoebe speaks up, "You mean...that's how I was able to defeat that warlock with the Centaur form?" Leo nods, and goes on to explain that each form seems to have a particular power special to them. "Like the flame arrow with the Centaur, and so forth.", clarifies Leo to Phoebe's puzzled expression.

Phoebe's face clears with understanding. Prue smiles, and hugs Phoebe tightly, whispering in her ear, "Now you got an active power. Cool!"

Phoebe giggles. Piper is thinking during all this. She is thinking that she is lucky to have her sisters, even if the new power is strange to her. Piper looks at Phoebe from the bed, and says, "Phoebe. Wow. This is strange for me. But I'm happy for you. You got an active power already!" Phoebe beams.

Somewhere in a dark cavern, a man growls to himself. "Damn. There goes the most biggest power I could have gotten. No matter. I will find you, and take that ring from you, and get your morphing power too!" He is looking into a scrying mirror at Phoebe, watching what had transpired.
