Other Peeps Poetry (2)
Who am I?
I am the wind that whispers past your ear,
I am the rain that falls, a crystal tear.
I am the sunlight glinting on the corn,
When you awake on a summers morn.
I am the softest star in a midnight sky,
I will always be here; I will never die.
I am the scent of new blooms, faint and true,
I am cotton white clouds and sky of blue.
A babbling brook, a crashing wave,
enfolding darkness of a cave.
I am a storm that rages, fierce and strong,
I am always with you where I belong.
The air that you breathe, the beat of your heart,
the hope that you feel, the dreams you impart.
Whenever you need me I will be there,
caressing you, loving you, never despair.
This is who I am.
By Victoria Robinette.
Silent
Silent musings
and fond rememberances
of another time
when doves cried.
Gentle kisses
and warm embraces
in night's enfolding arms.
The heat of passion
that seared my soul
and in its wake
an amber glow
that nurtures and carries me
in its updraft
to the dawn of a new day,
where I awake
with you in my arms.
