To my Valentine-

The one whom I’ve come to adore
More so than anyone I’ve known before.
These words to you a modest gift
I do pray, your spirit they may lift.

On this day set aside for lovers such as you and me,
Could there ever have existed, a more perfect couple than we?
There came a day, not far in the past
When we did conclude our love would outlast all others by far.
For the love we share
    Is truly beyond compare.

As that winged-boy we know as cupid
Drew back his bow, daring to take aim
        With but one Golden arrow
Could he have realized our lives would never be the same?

Our existence since, one of wishes and dreams
    Only now does it seem
My wishes upon stars, desires present long ago
My dreams of love as it ought to be
One I thought for sure I’d never know
Those romantic visions have become a reality.

My precious boy-
Ours is a Universe of benevolence
A galaxy of joy, a world of intellectual endeavors
A continent of solitude, a nation of privacy
A state of sheer delight, a township of pleasures
    A home of mutual admiration
If you say you will be mine, my beautiful darling
    I think you’ll find
I’ll lead you on breathless expeditions of beauty and ecstasy
                                                                       passion and perversion
                                                                                        pleasure and pain.

On this day, created for us alone
I send you love like you’ve never known.
My soul bound to yours
    and yours to mine
Won’t you please, my love of all loves
    Be my Valentine?
