Yep that's me. Sans the goatee and sporting a super conservative haircut
courtesy of the play I am currently rehearsing. The pic is a bit blurry
cause I used the auto feature on my own cam and didn't know quite where
to stand.
This is me this past Christmas. Several months, pounds, beers and facial
hairs ago. Best friends from college throw a annual Christmas bash each
year. Must be late into the evening cause the eyes are a bit glassy and
the hair is a bit mussed.
Who turned out the lights?
Ahh yes, the fun side of Scott. Same party a few more beers later. Trust
me there were two other guys doing the "Say no evil, hear no evil, see
no evil" bit with me so no I wasn't in the middle of the room all by my
lonesome looking like a total doofus. There were three of us looking like
total doofi (plural of doofus)
***Special note: I know I mention beer a couple of times in the
photo captions. Don't get me wrong...I'm not an alcoholic by any
means. I generally only average two or three drinks per week, but
I do like to turn loose every now and then. That party just happens
to be one.***

Name | Scott | |
Age | 29 | |
Quote of the Moment | If you want to lead the orchestra, you have to turn you back on the crowd.
Email: | [email protected]
Education Level | BS in Math Education from U. of Alabama in Birmingham (ROLL TIDE!) pursuing a MS in Management and Information Systems at FSU
Employment | Systems Analyst/Programmer in Bainbridge, GA. Live in NW Tallahassee tho.
Goals | Career: Finish my MS and get a consulting
job with large international firm (no more puny state wages for me)..would
really like to work overseas at some point in my career (Ireland or the
UK). Tho I would probably stay in the states for the right, let me emphasize,
VERY RIGHT person.
Personal: Get back to Europe in the next six months, improve my golf game, drop a few more pounds. |
|
Income | more than $35,000
Religion | Kinda Methodisty with a little Southern Baptist sprinkled in...Actually I just go wherever the good choirs are...like to sing. Not active at the moment. Do have a real interest in theology in general. Personally, I find Christian existentialism to be very satisfying as a philosophy. SK wrote some pretty butt kicking stuff. X-tra pts for knowing who SK is. Damn fine arguments can arise from religious debates.
Politics | Moderate for the most part. Somewhat conservative financially but fairly liberal socially. I did the fraternity thing in college (ATO) and tried to be a good little Republican. Wasn't for me tho. I am now a happy Independant. I vote for people not parties or platforms.
Marital Status | Never been down that road. Heard it can be an eventful ride. Want to try it some time.
Kids | None that I know of... :) Not necessarily opposed to being involved with someone with kids, but they do require a lot of extra consideration for folks contemplating a relationship. Have a real problem with undisciplined kids. I'm not a ogre but have had too many evenings ruined by someone's kids acting like ferrets on crack at nice resturaunts, the movies, the theatre.....
Smoke/Drink | Drink occasionally and I generally don't smoke..well I may have one every now and then when I am playing pool or something like that....come on, everyone does that!
Drugs | No, unless you count anithistamines. There are times when my hayfever is bad enough that if I thought crack might help my sinuses, I would probably start smoking it.
Sense of Humor | Yep, I got a hyper active one...do you have one? Hope so, because for me it is a must. I like all types of humor from low to high brow...have a real love for dark humor. "Fraser" is probably my favorite tv comedy. "Sports Night", "The Norm Show", "Who's Line is it Anyway" are great as well. Love all most all animation....new and old. Have been accused on more than one occasion of being a smart ass. Oh well, we all have our own crosses to bear.
Body Type | Well if you must know...kinda ex-football player gone a bit soft. But I was in the band so I guess that was a bad analogy. I suppose I am a bit like Drew Carey with better glasses (contacts on special occasions) and better hair. All in all I am a big guy (6'2") but fairly well proportioned. Too much beer 'n' pizza in college but I am actively working on it.
Fashion Sense | Non existent...
Well.....Hmm...how's this...Late Eighties, Early Nineties Fraternity Boy Comfortable. (i.e. jeans, knit pull-overs, lots of khaki shorts and pants, Arrow button downs, blue sports jackets). I can spiff up when need be. In short, my comfort is key. Probably will wind up being one of those guys who really does need his wife to tell him what to where. |
|
Music | Very eclectic...like a little of
about everything. All-time favorite band is REM. Really into Celtic music
(love the festivals too). Broadway music because of my interest in theatre
( but I'm not gay...Not that there is anything wrong with that) Extra pts.
if you are familiar with: The Connells, The Smiths, Big Country, Guadalcanal
Diary, Drivin'n'Cryin. More recently Seven Mary Three, Ben Folds
Five, Our Lady Peace. Special good stuff: Seven Nations...alternative/celtic
rock. Oh yeah, did I say I was BIG into most Eighties music. Heck,
what can I say....my high school experience was smack dab in the middle
of the Eighties.
Best concert: tuff but REM Monster -tour saw the last show with Bill Berry. Strangest concert: Danzig...former lead of The Misfits. Farthest Driven for a Concert: 8 hours to see Echo and the Bunnymen in '87 in Orlando. |
|
Dancing Ability | About as well as any other white guy who spent his early teen years listening to metal/hair bands of the early Eighties...but I do enjoy it.
Favorite readings | Love reading any dramatic works...am a Shakespeare freak. Classic writers...Hardy, Dickens, Joyce...anything medieval. More modern stuff Pat Conroy, some Grisham, Ferol Sams, Ken Follet (Pillars of the Earth rocked). Junk reading mostly Tolkien-esqe fantasy stuff: Robert Jordan (tho he's getting might tiresome), Guy Gavriel Kay (Kay can damn near write me to tears..super stuff), George R.R. Martin.
Pastimes | Acting in community theatre (over 20 musicals and straight plays...have even won an award or two), most artistic events, bad golf, really bad beach volleyball, swimming, reading, road tripping (really any travel), annoying the piss out of my brother/roomate.
Favorite Movies | It's a toss up between Braveheart and Shakespeare in Love. To terrific but very different flicks. Recently saw The Blair Witch Project...very spooky. Can watch any Monty Python movie again and again. Other great movies: 80's era John Hughes films (Breakfast CLub, Sixteen Candles), Dangerous Liaisons, Titanic (whoa...should I say that as a self-respecting guy), Excalibur, Dead Poet's Society, The Matchmaker, The Quiet Man, The Full Monty, most Merchant/Ivory Stuff.
Favorite Theatre Productions | Plays: Anything by Tennesse Williams, Inherit the
Wind, Steel Magnolias (movie was great too), any thing Shakespearean (Hamlet,
Macbeth, Midsummer's Night Dream...particular favs), most Southern oriented
stuff, Lost in Yonkers
Musicals: Damn near anything Lloyd Weber touches, Gypsy (did this one), Godspell (this one two)...all time favorite..My Fair Lady...I really identify with the Prof. |
|
Romantic Concepts | Do guys really have these??? Well if I did have them it would have to include....the beach at night, night time in general, rainy wintery days in front of a fire, Bronte or Hardy style English country sides (okay that's a bit weird but I would love to see my s/o run to me over the heath from a 19th century English manor house), very elegant social events. (Yes, I actually do spiff up pretty well in black tie.) Most of my romantic ideas involve some concept of artistry or natural beauty.
What am I looking for? | Hmm, email exchange, friendly meeting, and if we both want a fun relationship that could turn into more if we want it to...By the way, if you are into games just pass me by. I won't do it, simple as that. If you want to be chased I got a friend with a mean dog. Like a woman to look like a woman (i.e. curvy is good).. tall is good, but not mandatory, too since I'm fairly tall. Independent, creative, and intelligent women are highly cherished. I don't care to always be the one coming up with mutual excursion ideas.
What is the one thing that will most likely cause me to completely terminate a relationship. | Being lied too or being lead on. Damn I hate that....just cut off communications with a girl that indicated she was interested in pursuing a possible relationship but never, and I mean never, agreed to act upon it in any way. Drove me up the freaking wall. I mean, shoot, if you don't want to go out with me, just say so. I'm a big boy now, I haven't had my heart on my sleeve in a long time
Am I an axe-murderer, deranged mail bomber, or all-out psycho? | Umm...all I can legally say is, "I feel much better now." ;) |
Well that's me. Drop me a line if you have more questions at [email protected].
