Penguins at the Milwaukee Zoo (Milwaukee, WI)

In August, 1998 I had the great pleasure of going on a vacation that involved TWO different penguin sightings. The first stop was Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Milwaukee Zoo has only one penguin species as a part of the permanent exhibit, the Humboldt Penguin. This is my only Humboldt viewing experience, and these penguins are adorable!

Here is a picture of a Humboldt penguin (also seen on the main photos page), but he was cute enough to show again. Evan kept trying to take his picture, and he kept turning away from the camera. He's quite a shy fellow, but very sophisticated!

This is a picture of the exhibit itself, Humboldts included. :) There were approximately a dozen penguins total.
