I told my mother that I was working on this web site and she told me that we have one known family member living in County Down, Ireland. He is my fathers' cousin. Our grandfather is one of six children who grew up at Ashfield, which is now a private boys school near Belfast. I understood that my fathers cousin is now eighty seven years old and is a retired Doctor of Divinity and graduate of Queens College.

I heard from William Agnew in late April, 1998. He lives at "Avola", in Bangor, Co. Down. He shared our family history in detail that was unknown to the American Agnews. He is the only surviving Agnew in his family.

Molly Campbell Agnew, our grandmother. He remembers them as "friendly folks" who came to Belfast to live. They came from County Fermenaugh.
