Students are working hard to learn Martial etiquette of the Dojo. Traditional bowing as a show of respect for their training Dojo, other students and their instructor. Students are also learning to use their meditation to review their class through visualization and understanding that Martial Arts is 90% mental and 10% physical. Anyone can throw a kick or punch but it takes a special person to control themselves from the inside-out. Children are reminded regularly about the no fighting in the school yard rules.
March break camp was held last month and it was a great success with students having the opportunity to go swimming, skating and attend a movie at the Capital theater, a trip to Cosmic Adventures as well as special training, pizza day and much more. In early April we also held a special training seminar with Sensei Terry Langevin and the "fist suit". Students had the opportunity to learn special Jui Jitsu techniques as well as fighting full contact on the fist suit. Everyone had a great time, thanks to all who participated. Keep your eye open for the next bulletin for special seminars.
Drug Party - teaching children to be aware, and how to deal with peer pressure situations with friends at parties with drugs and alcohol.
Children should never answer the door when they are home alone and should not tell people when they are home alone.
