The name of this organization
shall be the Filipino Malay
Heritage Society of Sacramento
City College(FMHSSCC).
Article II
Purpose of Organization
The purpose of the FMHSSCC shall
act upon
* exposing and researching
Filipino history
* exposing and researching
the different cultures of the Malay race
* developing individual qualities
of leadership, experience and opportunity
* serving the community, offer
services to schools and promote service activities
* participating community
services such as community beautification projects, tutoring, can food
drives and more
* unifying the Filipino Malay
community
* providing services to the
community, and to schools * promoting service activities
* teaching history of the
Philippines and the cultures of the Malay race at high school activities
by performance or workshops
Article III
Membership
Section 1: Membership of the FMHSSCC
shall be open to all groups of SCC students that claim to be registered
on campus.
a: Registered shall be determined
by registration with the Los Rios SCC.
Section 2: All members have
rights to comment and suggest on the performance of their selected officers
Section 3: Membership is open
to all races, people with disabilities, genders and etc.
Section 4: Member shall be
allowed to have more than one membership with other organizations on the
SCC campus.
Section 5: Spending events
shall be spent partially to budget the organizations expenses.
Section 6: Member participation
in all activities shall be monitored.
Section 7: Member shall be
allowed to receive benefits from FMHSSCC with the acception of being at
all fundraising events.
Section 8: Member shall not
receive spending benefits if absent 1/3 of the total amount of fundraising
events within one semester.
Section 9: Benefits: (must
be voted by majority)
* spend partial money to buy
custom made t-shirts, sweatshirts, and Malay costumes
* allowed to vote for any
event
* allowed to vote for officers
* allowed to participate in
cultural events
* allowed to comment and suggest
for FMHSSCC
* allowed to question officers
and the club
* allowed to participate leisure
events
* allowed to participate in
fundraising events
* allowed to participate community
service
Article IV
Officers
Section 1: The officers of FMHSSCC
shall be: a Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-President, President, and one to
two Chairpersons.
Section 2: All officers shall
be elected by the members of the FMHSSCC.
Section 3: No officers shall
be allowed to serve on FMHSSCC if they are on Academic Probation.
Section 4: Officers are allowed
to serve more than one organization on campus.
Section 5: Officers shall
be elected by majority of votes of the current members of FMHSSCC.
Section 6: Previous officers
shall be allowed to be nominated twice.
Section 7: Previous officers
shall be allowed to be nominated for a different position for the upcoming
semester.
Section 8: Officer vacancies
shall be voted in time of need by majority of votes of FMHSSCC members.
Article V
Officer Duties
Section 1: The President shall
preside at all meetings of FMHSSCC (unless for specific important reasons
will be excused), appoint committees and task forces as needed, monitor
progress, organize and supervise events, listen to FMHSSCC members and
report FMHSSCC activities to Student Development Center SCC/Activities.
Section 2: The Vice-President
shall be in charge of assisting President and be a main part of organizing
committees, monitor progress and take over President duties in time of
absence.
Section 3: The Secretary shall
record, type and store the minutes of each meeting.
Section 4: The Treasurer shall
maintain and be held responsible for the budget of FMHSSCC. He/she shall
also report on all expenditures and revenue.
Section 5: The Chairpersons
shall be advisors, monitor progress, appoint committees and report to all
ICCSCC meetings.
Section 6: The order of precedence
shall be:

All Officer duties
Section 1: To be present at all
meetings
Section 2: To provide communication
between the FMHSSCC and the officers
Section 3: To aid in carrying
out decisions made by the FMHSSCC
Section 4: To participate
at least fifty percent of club activities
Article VII
Meetings Section 1: Regular meetings
shall take place once per week, except as precluded by interfering holidays
or events, and except as decided by vote of the FMHSSCC.
Section 2: Parliamentary procedures
shall be loosely adhered to at all meetings
a: Rules may be suspended
for discussion by the club (FMHSSCC).
b: Constant breeches in procedure
shall result in removing that member from the meeting.
Section 3: Clubs must regularly
have at least one member present at ICCSCC meetings.
a: After 3 unexcused absences,
FMHSSCC shall determine any consequences, which may include, but not limited
to:
b: No such consequence shall
be unreasonable in nature or duration.
Section 4: Club shall have
a main and co-advisor.
Section5: Club activities
must have a main or co advisor present at all major activities
Article III
Section 1: All purposed amendments
to this constitution shall be submitted to the FMHSSCC in a regular meeting
Section 2: An amendment shall
take effect immediately on approval by majority at the next (second) FMHSSCC
meeting of each semester.
