Wait for it... (please)!

The file sizes for these images are a little large, so it may take a slightly longer than usual for the whole page to download. We promise that the wait will be worth your while!

About pirating these photographs...

We know that some of these photos may end up at someone else's site (we're not naive), but for those who wish to use these photos on their site, we're going to make you a fair offer;

You can't ask for fairer than that...

On with the gallery!

"Double-jointed"

We just had to start off with this humourous shot
of the two crooked coconut palm trees on
Mayaro Beach, Trinidad - trust Barry to find this pair!
This scene no longer exists, because earlier this year
the palm on the left of the shot collapsed onto the beach.

"The Mangrove in the Mirror"

Mangrove thrives in swamps and along riversides like this one.
This shot was taken from a bridge over the Manzanilla River in south-eastern Trinidad.

"Manzanilla's Mouth"

The Manzanilla River's isthmus has an interesting curve just as it meets the ocean. If you look carefully, you can just see the river in the mid-left edge of the picture, just below the mangrove. The reflection of the trees in the water is rippled from the river minging with the salt water of the ocean.

"Wet Dreams"

Just after a wave has wet the beach and the surf pulls back on Mayaro Beach
in south-east Trinidad, the sand glistens like glass.

"Made in Heaven"

Taken from Mike Tikasingh's house one August evening,
this shot shows one example of the spectacular sunsets
visible on the North-West peninsular of Trinidad.
