Princeville, a Beautiful Town by the North Shore of Kauai

First Impression

Located on the north shore of Kauai, Princeville is about an hour's drive from the Lihue Airport, where most inter-island flights land on Kauai. There is also a Princeville Airport just outside of the town. My first impression? I was struck by the immense open space feeling of the place. Of course, the lush green golfcourse, the grand vistas, and the impressive statue at the entrance to the town all contributed to the feeling. The first picture below shows a view from the entrance of the town. Note the rainbow in the second photo. :)

The Golf Courses

The photo on the left looks more like a photo of a farm on a country side than a golf course. On the way to Princeville, one does notice a lot of farms and orchards by the road though.

Panoramic Views from the Cliff

Most of Princeville is lined by a cliff on the north side. The following pictures show views of the ocean from the cliff. On the left of the second and third picture, Hanalei Bay is visible.
