a book of levendis' Tarot cards

I have always been fascinated by the Tarot, yet have just recently begun my exploration of its diverse cast of characters. When I first held a book of these cards I drew just one, hoping for the DEATH card. (what more could one wish for?) Instead I drew the FOOL, in contrast to my hasty decision to end with death what is only just beginning now. The choice to start drawing my own deck with the FOOL was obvious from that moment. I decided to render my cards with ink and colored pencil on paper, pulling inspiration from the Rider-Waite deck and Learning the Tarot, an On-Line Course.

As of Sunday, June 13, 1999:

The FOOL, MAGICIAN, HIGH PRIESTESS, and EMPRESS are complete and the EMPEROR and HIEROPHANT are in progress.
