Submissions FAQ
Q. I wrote a story, who do I contact?
A. The best way is to email the complete manuscript to both the publisher, Stuart Bedlam, and the submissions editor, Laura Johnson.

Q. What kinds of stories are you looking for?
A.  Mainly those of Science Fiction, but this encompasses a huge variety of subgenres, included SF-horror, SF-mainstream, etc.

Q.  How much does an accepted submission get paid.
A.  Currently, and here's the sad part,  nothing.  Other than the thrill of getting published in a semi-professional magazine, there is no money involved in getting published in SFmm, but this is true of many many small press magazine's in the marketplace today.  Until we get more popular and are able to sustain ourselves with advertisement revenues from banner ads and the like, SFmm is running in the red.  Think of us as merely a stepping stone in your constantly improving writing career.  Everyone needs to start somewhere, and chances are you're not going to be able to get published in the professional magazines for many years.

Q. What are your writer's guidelines?
A.  Our only guidelines, for the moment, are your submissions must be original works (in that you're the writer, and the story hasn't been published before.), and the story be Science Fiction, or SF-related.  [We do plan to expand the magazine to other genres in the future.]
