Chapter Fourteen of the ChoirGirl HOTeL…

SO...Jaime, Kyribelle, Katiribelle, Karol, Jenn, and the handsome stranger Dan arrive at the Choir Girl Hotel and come busting through the lobby doors. They decide to breakup into groups to search the hotel: Jamie and Dan partner up and head down the stairs to check out the basement. Karol and Jenn decide to search the Lobby and the first few floors of the hotel, and while the swimming twins took on the top floors.

**********************The Hotel Basement***********************

Jamie and Dan walk down the stairs. Dan begins to feel around for the light switch and asking Jamie what she felt about the whole FBI situation. She began to tell him all about the events of the past couple days and how all this excitement has made her feel as though she could actually be able help find the disk.

Finally Dan found the switch and they start to look around and they find a row of dark orange barrels with black lids on them. There was about twenty of them up against the wall on the farthest side of the basement.

Dan began to open them one at a time to search through them. The First Barrel contained pickles, and the second pickles and the third pickles ...one by one he opens the barrels and in every one of them. All of them had the same labels on them that read DESTRUCTIVE MATERIALS: pickle and party suppliers. "What the hell is this sh-t?" yelled Dan.

"I've never seen so many pickles in my life!" Cried Jamie.

"What if the disk is in one of the barrels?" She wondered.

"Let's go find the others and ask them what we should do." said Dan.

****************************In the Lobby***************************

Jenn and Karol begin to walk around through the linen closets, maintenance room the boiler room. Then they came to Wannie's office (remember Jenn’s cousin and the owner of the hotel). As they enter the room they began to scan the area quickly and when they were just about to leave Karol notice an invoice on his desk marked Destructive Material.

She called Jenn over to show her the invoice that was blank except for the Name of the hotel and destructive material. Jenn took it and shoved it into her pocket. "Let's go show this to the rest of them."

*********************In the upper floors of the Hotel*********************

The twins not having found anything because all of the doors were locked sat on the couch in the lounge of the lobby. I didn't take long for the other two groups to meet them there in the lobby. Dan and Jamie began to discuss what they found and Karol and Jenn showed them the invoice.

Jenn began to wonder if her cousin was in on this disk thing, and the thought of that seemed absurd until Dan began to question her about Wannie. Jenn explained to him that he is the most law-abiding man she knows and that he could not be in on it because he has no knowledge of computers. "He can't even work the reservation computers!" She explained further.

All of the sudden Dan jumps from his seat as he watches Pete stroll into the lobby. Pete noticing the strange man watching him he speeds up and goes into a room marked employees only. Dan began to follow him asking the girls to wait for him.
