Chapter Eighteen of the Choirgirl HOTeL…

When Jamie and Dan emerged from Jamie's room 3 days later, Dan found that all hell had broken loose. Danna and Karol were in jail, Kyri and Katiri owned the Sac's strip club, and Greg was a FBI agent. Dan's entire secret agenda was coming apart. The disk was in police custody. He needed to get it, and he only knew one way to do that.

Later that night, he snuck into Mulder's hospital room. As he approached, Mulder's eyes glared in a very upsetting manner at him.

Dan said "Fox, you've disappointed me. You were supposed to get me the disk, and now the government has it." Mulder remained silent. "I know you can get it for me."

Mulder stammered, "I can't... th-the risk is too gr-gr-great."

Dan fixed him with a stare and said, "I'll fix Captain Winky."

Mulder's response was "Let's go!"

The next morning, the disk was in Dan's hand, and Mulder bought a bottle oflubriderm and stayed in his apartment all day. As Dan turned the disk in his fingers, Jamie came from behind and hugged him.

Dan said to her, "I have to show you something." He took her hand and guided her out into the woods. As they approached a clearing, he pressed a button on his cufflink and a hidden panel on the forest floor opened up.

A large craft that appeared to be a space ship came out of the ground. Jamie's eyes opened wide in wonderment, and Dan guided her into the craft. He popped the disk into a terminal and readout appeared.

He explained to Jamie, "The government stooges couldn't read this. Danna encrypted it with a code from our home planet."

Jamie asked, " Then you're not human?"

At this, Dan laughed at said, "No, Danna and I are human, but we were raised on Ikaran when one of their spacecraft accidentally landed on our parents."

Jamie started laughing, but was stopped dead by a glare from Dan. "Anyway, now I have to spring Danna from jail and bring him home. And I'd like you to come with me. Would you?" Jamie nodded her head yes.

After reviewing the disks further, it was revealed that the material Dan was looking for were in the Dip and Strip club in the water tanks. Dan secretly wondered if swimming in the radioactive water like substance explained why Kyri and Katiri were so strong and athletic. The formula was a secret compound that made one infinitely stronger when ingested. Swimming in it may have increased their strength.

Dan said, "Let's go". As he was about to close the hatch though, Adrienne jumped inside with a gun pointed at his head. Behind her were Kyribelle and Katiribelle.

Adrienne said "We know something weird is going on, and we want to know what."

Dan recapped the story for them, and Kyri and Katiri both simultaneously exclaimed, "Let's go" Adrienne also agreed.

Dan shook his head "No, I neither asked for or want your help"

Kyri and Katiri both piped up "Yes, but it's our tanks that you want." Dan reluctantly agreed.

The Wild Gaea (Dan's ship) hovered in stealth mode over the prison and a plan was made. Kyri and Katiri would seduce the guards inside and free Danna and Karol. Karol was to be freed because Dan owed her for an earlier favor. Wild Gaea started it's landing thrusters and began to touch down.

As it hit the ground, there was a small bump. Curiously, everyone went outside to investigate. Hanging halfway out from underneath the ship was Fox Mulder. He was most definitely dead.

Adrienne broke into hysterics, and Dan was forced to sedate her and put her back onboard. The plan went without a hitch besides, except as the Twins, Karol and Danna were about to hop in the ship, Greg pulled into the prison parking area.

The hatch quickly closed, with the group of 4 adventurers barely jumping in on time, and Greg also unfortunately hopping inside the craft. Greg was confused as to what was happening, but as he was filled in on the story, he agreed to help the group.

They picked up the tanks and set a course at top warp speed for Ikaran. When asked why they needed to deliver the substance there though, Dan and Danna were silent.
