Witchcraft and Paganism

Yes, I'm a witch. Not a big surprise, if you've come this far. You've probably already guessed this about me. I consider myself an eclectic pagan witch.

What does this mean?

As a common saying goes "Ask ten pagans a question and get twelve different answers", so will my answers and statements not always mesh with others who call themselves pagans. This does not mean that they are wrong or that my truths are the truths for all. All it means is that this is the understandings I have come to, so far, in my journey as a spiritual individual.

 As a pagan, I am of the earth, the country. I revere and aid that which is important to me, and nature is important to me. This does not mean I shun technology or things man-made. There is a time and place for almost all. I have just as much as a connection with my computer (with its electricity, power, and communication abilities) as I do with a tree (with its life, growth, and energy).

 As a witch I practice various magicks and spiritual activities. These include the acknowledgement and acceptance of powers that are not only beyond my complete understanding, but are also of me and everything that surrounds me. With this I extend myself and use my will to cause change in my favour in my environment.

 I strive to understand my true will, but have no fear in not knowing it or understanding it all, just mild annoyance. (smile)

What magicks do I practice?

 Well, as a witch I often cast circles. These circles serve many functions, among them are protection and celebration. Spells are most often cast or worked upon during my circle time, however, some spells I cast as part of my everyday activities. These include everyday healings, cooking, and divining.

 The one form of divination that I'm focusing heavily on right now is the Tarot. I hope to buy a simple set of Futhark runes to work with, but have neither time nor extra money for that right now.
