Quick Tips
- You can quickly keyframe the visibility on/off state of a layer by clicking on the visibility keyframe line (channel) in the timeline editor (animation palette) to create keyframes that flip the visibility state, as visually indicated on the keyframe line (channel).
- The File Open dialog box defaults to all file types, type in *.moho and hit Enter to see only Moho files (a standard Windows trick)
- To return something at a later keyframe to its frame 1 state : Set the current frame indicator to frame 1, choose the aspect you wish to keyframe e.g. translate, then click once in the work area - this will give you a keyframe at frame 1 which you can then copy and paste.
- By clicking on the keyframe type (animation channel) icon at the beginning of a keyframe line in the timeline editor (animation palette) , you select the whole line (channel) of keyframes - you can even do it with multiple rows. Changing one then changes the whole line (channel) - you could use this to e.g. change all keyframes in a row to Ease-In/Ease-Out, or to grab and move an entire animation sequence further along. This is mentioned here as an alternative to grouping the keyframes by dragging a box around them, as documented in the Moho User Manual.
- When you have a group of control points selected, Shift-clicking will add points to the group, or remove them if already selected.
- I haven't tested many codecs yet, but the only one I've found so far that works for importing AVIs into an image layer is Full Frames (Uncompressed). If you've generated the AVI from Moho to start with, the background colour is created as transparent in the alpha layer of the AVI, and edges are anti-aliased. Presumably this will be the case with some other apps too.
- Tip from the documentation : drag an image from Windows Explorer to the Moho workspace to create a tracing image for your vector layer - the visibility of this image is controlled from the View menu.
- A layer (bones or group) will only accept children when it is in an expanded state (not collapsed) i.e. the little arrow points down rather than sideways. Clicking on the arrow reverses the state of the layer.
