School has been and will probably always be a student's nemesis. You don't have to tell me, I hate school as much as you probably do. Imagine a whole week cooped up in a classroom for six to eight hours a day with only the briefest interludes of rest and play (you know what they mean when they say P.E.). Let's face it: you have at least once in your life demanded why you have to go to school. You have probably even growled about your teacher sending you to the office to have a "chat" with the principal (that has fortunately never happened to me before). You've probably even whined:
"What kind of torture IS this?!!!"
And then promptly forget about your homework.
On the contrary, school is not supposed to be a constant annoyance. Your classroom is not a torture chamber, and the principal most certainly will not bite off your head!
In fact, school is a place of love and learning, a place of friendship and of knowledge, a place of people who care for you so much that they would devote their time to giving YOU the benefit of what they know. Your teachers are not judges. They will not dictate your life sentence. They are there only to guide you to a bright future. Remember that whenever you feel like hitting old Ms. Wormwood.
My uncle once told me that after he graduated, he wanted to go over school all over again. I certainly don't want that. I suppose, even after I write this essay, I'll continue to hate school until I'm well out of it.
And no, I don't think you believe me because i don't quite believe myself.
