Tunnel's Depth

. While I walked far into the dripping evening,
my thought was with you as I recalled our first night.
. Making me wonder how beauty is so enslaving,
. to my naked eye.
. Yet so many things are beautiful,
. but not captured,
. as you are.
. Tonight I've seen the sky,
. far removed from dusk.
. When it should have been black,
. or dark with stars, it was not.
. Just as only I hold what I perceive,
. the air from above spent spoken words,
. as pictures for me to see.
. It created the wonderful canvas,
. and you were brushed into it.
The projected image was astounding.
Darted orange lines crawled up from the horizon.
. Just like aging ivy does.
. And when I saw the palette blend,
. I thought of you, over again
. I find those renderings so amazing
. and so connected,
. as a tunnel meets at each end.
. I could only sit calm, gazing,
. peering into space with my mind.
I can find you in almost anything.
