As you walk closer you notice dragon standing off to the side, this one looking more like a puppy. He looks up at you and smiles. Quickly you realize you have just walked in on a history lesson. You listen with the others as the scaled Dragon finishes telling his story which seems to have a moral the younger ones know by heart. When the storyteller notices the others looking at you he brings his story to an end. With a chuckle, the dog-like Dragon addresses you.
We have visitors do we? |
He smiles a mischievous smile at you and then laughs at your expression.
Don't worry. I'm a Luck Dragon, my name is Falkor, and I won't eat you, I promise. |
The scaled Dragon smiles at you as you glance his way.
Don't worry, a Dragon would never harm a soul, unless they tried to harm him first. |
He smiles down at you (a rather charming smile, you decide) and gives a small wink before continuing.
Tell me, have you visited our Waterfall recently? Witath and his siblings have hatched, he has joined us and has his own place in our Weyr. We're preparing for the Gather, if you can forgive the clutter wherever you see it, you may enter. |
He repositions himself so that with a sweep of his wing he is diverting the waterfall over your head and behind you, allowing you a dry path the cave behind it.
You look around at the various faces that have swerved down in some sort of nod or invitation to enter. It isn't until then that you notice a small, sliverish Dragon who looks thin and very hungry. You hope that if they do follow you in, they really wouldn't eat you.
Enter the cave.
Go back inside.
