Materials
Cut 2 pieces of ply together in rabbit shape as shown.
Cut 2 seat pieces. (each piece is 1 1/8" by 3/4")
Dowel or toothpick will be 1 1/8" long
Make an indent with a small drill where shown, ready for dowel or toothpick. Do not drill right through.
Glue seat pieces together as shown and put aside to dry.
Undercoat the rabbit pieces and mark seat position where shown.
Using the pattern supplied, transfer the design on to each rabbit shape, remembering to reverse for one side.
Then using the suggested colors, paint each section to suit. An extra coat will probably be desirable.
When the base colors are dry, you can add the details, following the pattern setup.
Suggusted colors:
Eyes: black
Nose: whiskers - outline sahding: brown earth (Jo Sonya or equivalent)
Add white paws, also underline chin, tummy, tail and inside ears.
Rocker can be put together before paintng if wished.
To construct:
Place one side face down and glue seat in position.
Next, with glue on edge of seat, position carefully to line up with marks, dab glue on dowel ends and place between sides, checking that position is correct. Set aside to dry.
The insides are painted two coats of white. Later the whole rocker can be srpayed with crystal clear to give a nice sheen finish.
