The cabbage is a marble covered with florist tape in such a way,
that you can see the overlapping leaves on the center.
The side leaves are also florist tape that is stretched along the
edges to make them ruffle. Form a U shape before attaching.
At times the florist tape is a little difficult to glue to the marble,
the natural adhesive is not enough to glue on the glass, so I
suggest you use tacky glue but allow to dry in between placing the
leaves.
Cauliflower is made with small balls of Fimo, pricked before baking and then leaves are placed around the same as for the cabbage.
Turnips are made from white Fimo, shaped with pieces of stamen
stems in top to represent the top leaves being chopped off.
Color at top with purple acrylic dry brushed on.
The Japanese pumpkin is made from fimo and molded in the usual pumpkin shape with grooves down the sides. After baking, paint a darker green with short cream lines.
A different pumpkin is the 'Old blue' as it is called in
Australia. The usual shape.
After baking, paint with green and dry brush with grey to simulate
the Old blue.
If wished it can cut in quarters after 5 minutes baking and then returned to oven for balance of time.
Yes I know it is a strange name for a greenish grey pumpkin.
