Sandy's Babies

Meet my cats:

Sophie was saved, from the streets of Harlem, NYC when she was a kitten, by a friend who asked me to adopt her. She rules this house and basically allows us to live here with her. She's very talkative so, must have some Siamese in her. She's a mommy's girl.

Pheobe, senior animal, was chosen for me by my friend Ellen Kahn from a cat shelter. She looks much more beautiful in person than in her photos. Her eye color and muted fur colors are incredible. She is diabetic but lives quite nicely with it. She & Stu use her insulin shots as bonding moments (which makes her daddy's girl).

Meet my dogs:

Gracie is a Leonberger (rare breed). As is typical for her breed, she leaps in the air from joy - with all 4 feet leaving the ground.

Odie was gotten from a rescue of Shepherds. We believe he is a Shiloh Shepherd because of his ears that do not stand up, excessive fur & extremely massive size. He was given to the rescue because the breeder bred for guard dogs and Odie is as big a wuss as I've ever seen.

The dogs are extremely sweet natured (Odie more so) and love to get hugs, kisses and belly scratches from us.

Zetti
Zetti (short for Suzette) is my princess. Actually she's a Coton De Tulear (rare breed), which is the royal dog of Madagascar. She is the one who'd never leave my side- if it were up to her. Unlike the other two dogs...she is not a people lover (other than us - of course). She was not socialized well when she was a puppy so when she sees strangers she is not happy. But she is the perfect lap dog who will calmly curl up next to you and be happy just to be there.

Although Zetti is only 7 lbs - she not only holds her own among the other dogs - she scares them off if they annoy her. She wraps us around her paw and knows how to manipulate us. She dances for her food - which she eats like a truck driver - where it goes I have no idea. She is very much like having a baby and frankly...I adore her.

I have more pictures of my precious babies.
