Have you ever dreamt a dream, and felt like you survived one last time?
Was a tall building involved, and you fell off and woke up to the notice
of your death?
Was a gun or knife pulled on you during your cloud-cuckoo-land vision?
When I dream, I see the impossible lies once again . . .
. . . Cymbals clashing
drums bashing while the
piper dances in my brain, laughing -- gingerly at that!
*Snakes wrap around me,
The search for signs of fear.
But there seems to be none.
A shot echoes the silence.
A blade penetrates the very edge.
I did it, you did.
Don't I die in real ife, if I did in my dream?
I awake to a new day, only noticed by a pool of mucous about my mouth
and pillow . . .
