As I've said, I am an ordinary person.... well maybe cursed to be a little chatty, I still welcome you here. I'm very interested in music. I think perhaps that's what inspires my poetry. My personal favorite in music is rock and alternative, but occasionally, there are pop bands and other types of singers that attract my attention.

Debbie Gibson has been and still is one of my favorite singers. Though I've lost track with her many achievements, I still treasure her "Out of the Blue" record which was her first album. And since I can't go off on voice lessons, I sing along to her songs (the very HIGH ones), like Foolish Beat, We Could Be Together and Electric Youth. As a result, I get sore throat almost every day. And the other reason why I really like her music is that the lyrics to her songs have very deep meaning. It's good for poets...

The "Angry White Woman" has stormed the world with her tunes that, according to adults, shouldn't be heard by teenagers. I don't care what they say, Alanis Morissette writes the best songs and makes all the weirdest videos. Jagged Little Pill, her third and only America album hit the music charts like a hurricane. With hit singles like You Oughta Know, Hand In My Pocket and Ironic, it's no wonder Alanis was thought to have rocked the world of music.

Frankly, I never used to like No Doubt. I listened only to Don't Speak. I bought the album but I never really listened to all the songs. Later on, I thought I should give a try listening to the entire album, and what did you know, I ended up liking all of it. Now, besides Garbage, No Doubt is my favorite ska/pop/rock band.

So, there. You have a pretty clear idea of which musicians I like. There are a few others I haven't added yet but who says I won't put them up in later days?
