Why did I write "Damned"
When I know you won't know?
            Why am I leading
When I know you won't follow?
            Why do I fantasize
When I know it won't come true?
What am I standing here for?
Why am I gawking at you?
Why do I dream of you
            When it's all so unreal?
            Why do I still hope
When you don't even know how I feel?
How will I handle these emotions
That make me giddy with love?
            Why are you this person
            If you're sent from above?

Don't be fooled by the cheeky title. This short but very thoughtful poem sprang up in my mind when I was writing "Damned." This just goes to show how sentimental I can get. I am very into the beautiful, happy, sad and queer feelings a person experiences when he is in love. This poem is for the same person I wrote "Damned" for. He and I can never be together, thus the lines "Why are you this person/ If you're sent from above?"
