Supposed ALDEN line I John Alden the Pilgrim came to Plymouth on the Mayflower in 1620. Married Priscilla Mullins or Molines of the Mayflower in 1621 or 1622. She died between 1680-1687, before her husband. Their Son was II Zachariah Alden, born 1650. Died after 1699. Married Mary (Maiden name unknown) [THIS ZACHARIAH IS A HOAX used by persons around 1900 to get into the DAR. There never was such a person.] Their Daughter was III Anna Alden born ----- Married Josiah Snell of Bridgewater, December 21, 1699 - Died 1705. Josiah Snell died 1753. Anna Alden and Josiah Snell existed. Where Anna came from, probably even she did not know, since she insisted she was John Alden?s granddaughter but never proved it. In John's day, bastards were acknowledged and supported, listed in township records and included in the community. (The Scarlet Letter is also a hoax.) Their Son was IV Zachariah, born March 17, 1704. Died----. Married Abigail Haywood 1731. She was born August 30, 1702. Their Son was V Issachar Snell, born 1732. Married Sarah Haywood in 1769. He died June 30, 1820. She died in 1824. Their Daughter was VI Hannah, born January 1. Married Oakes Tirrill in 1805. Died in Brooklyn October------ | ||||||||||||||||||||
