Suburban Park

Published by Rofe, Kaluga

The park was planted in 1782. The governor's
summer house was placed in the park. Nikolai Gogol,
the famous Russian writer,  lived in a wing of
that house in 1849, 1850. The house was burnt
in 1920.
In 1935 the great Russian thinker Konstantin
Tsiolkovsky was buried in the park.
