I met La Selene not long after I got my computer.   Our initial meeting told me that we would be friends for a fair while, however I did not really realise just how special our friendship would become.   We have kept in contact through email alone, and our friendship is stronger than some of those I have with people I see and talk to regularly in real life...
She writes magnificently, and when my comp went down a few months ago, I lost a large collection of her stuff that I had.   I want to share it with everyone, so I will continue to add them to this page as she sends them to me...hope you enjoy the art of my beautiful friend...

The beautiful writing of La Selene...

Merlin's Chorus
amazing...
she thought
simply amazing.

She could feel his heartbeat through the phone line...

She could feel the warmth of his smile, beaming, casting the warm glow of his friendship upon her...as if he were right there in the room.

Her heart soared at the sound of her precious friends voice...the way his words formed.

The smile he wore the duration of their conversation...spoke even more loudly than his words.

She giggled at the way his accent tickled her ears, and made her feel giddy inside.

It was as if he were right there, in her presence, whispering lovely thoughts into her heart...

It was as if he could wrap his arms about her right then and there and heal what had been destroying her soul the previous weeks past...

All this beauty achieved by one phone call...

Isn't true love in friendship the most perfect celebration on earth?   She re-confirmed once again in her own mind.

She smiled the entire night at the thought of holding him close to her breast, and running her fingers through his mane...

That night she slept with the peace of beauty, the warmth of care, and the knowledge of love in her heart.

Something she had not been able to do for many weeks.

Thank you.

Sweet precious friend, I await your arrival.

Love
Eileen

"I wrote this the night before I attended a baby shower, and I needed a unique gift for the baby and the parents.  They are so well off that just "another" gift would have been boring and uncreative.  So I sat down and thought about birth and life and babies and parenthood and tears started flowing from my eyes, and this poured out from my heart.  I was astounded.  I had to stop myself from writing more, and this was a gift she ended up framing and putting in the baby's nursery.  She made me read it aloud at the shower, and it made everyone silent and some cried.  They all said it was the most beautiful thing they had ever heard, and my friend said it was the most precious of gifts she had received for her shower.
I still think it is my best work ever."   Eileen

AWAITING YOUR ARRIVAL

Dear sweet child:

You don't know me yet.

The sound of my voice is the only thing you know of me.

I have loved you since before you arrived.

Your Mother and Father are special people. Special people who will watch over you throughout times eternity. They will always be first and foremost in your life, for God picked them to be your parents.

There will be moments that you test their patience and moments when they test yours. Every day of your life will bring new memories, not only for you, but also for your parents. Every event, word, sight, even every smell or taste, will have a memory special to each of you.

When you first come into the world, there will be much noise, much chaos. But it is a chaotic bliss that brings you forth. Your first gasps for breath and your cries will be a heavenly sound, resonating through the entire room as if you were royalty speaking to the masses. Your Mother and Fathers joy will be unabashedly exposed, feelings of pure exhilaration that has never been felt by them, either before you, nor ever duplicated again after you. The sight of you will bring tears flowing as if waterfalls never ending, streaming their euphoric jubilation into a sea of infinite happiness.

Lives will change because of your entry into this world. You will accomplish great things that will make everyone proud. All along the way, those who love you will always be there to help you, to encourage you and to keep you whole.

Those who love you will be there to kiss owies, to nurture hurt feelings and to carry your pain when you are unable. Those who love you will know childlike laughter that is contagious, and your spirit in living will pour from your being and envelop them with your aura when you are at your best.

There will be times when you don't understand, when it seems that the only thing the entire world has to give is confusion. The people who love you will show you how to transform a stumbling block into a stepping stone, just by turning it over and replacing it in your pathway through life.

There will be times in your life when your contentment and discovery will be so abundant that all of your hearts shall feel like exploding with gladness. Times when your achievements will be shared with the whole of the world, for those who love you want the whole world to know you, and to see what you have done.

There will be times when great sadness will reign in your soul. This will be the time that you will see how very important it is to know that those around you who love you are your strength and your guide. To know that those who love you will permit you to be weak, and to be carried like a precious glass trinket, protected and safe. Thus allowing you the time to mend, to be better than before, healed with the miraculous power of love that you will never know with any others.

You will know that those who love you so deeply are to be cherished in your heart, because no other child who was born into this world was chosen to be given these people to love you. You will know a respectful adoration that can not be put into words, but can be heard through one look, and be felt through one hug.

Sweet child, I am one of those people. You can call upon me night or day. You can ask for anything, and if I have it to give I will gladly do so, and if I don't, you can be sure I will find it, to be able to give to you.

Sweet child, I wait for your arrival. I wait for your milestones, and the chance to watch you grow.

Sweet child I believe in you now and I will always believe in you.

Sweet child, this voice is all you know now, but this voice will always be in your corner, always be there to help you in any way, always available to you and to make sure that you know...

...you can always call me friend.
