Born October 6, 1920 - Dustin, Oklahoma.
Graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1942 Served in the United States
Navy from 1942 - 1946 and received a commendation for assisting in the
invasion of Southern France. Moved to Okemah in 1946 and started Parks
Hardware and Parks Funeral home. He and his sons, Bob, Jim, and Joe now
operate hardware and lumber stores in Okemah and Prague and funeral homes in
Okemah, Prague, Stroud, and Chandler.
