About Me and my Station

My callsign is M0CGF and my name is Ian. I am 25 years old and hold a A class licence. My rig is the ICOM IC-706 with a tri-band vertical and a full size G5RV. The ATU is a Vectronics VC300DLP, power supply Watson W-30AM, MFJ artifical ground, Daiwa SWR for VHF plus an MFJ DSP filter which I use for CW.
My previous callsign was G7VTD and I was QRV on 6m & 2m. I had that license since August 1996. I received my A class on Feb 18 1999. I learnt the morse code at Avondale Evening centre with Jim G3KAF as the tutor. In the class were John (M1ARV now M0BEX), Ken (M1ASA now M0BMW), Dave M1ANQ. John and Ken passed I didn't take the exam due to university commitments. Then in Jan 1999 I was on 2m trying to get back upto 12wpm with Jim G3KAF, Ken G0RVX, Brian G0IFX, John M0BEX plus SWLs!! In Feb I took the test and passed. So I'd like to thank all those mentioned for giving up there spare time to help me conquer the dit and dahs!!
My local ham club is Stockport Radio Society which M0BEX & G3KAF are members and I am a member of the RSGB so please QSL via buro.
