God sent me down a heart filled to the brim
With love for Mom and Dad and Sis and Him
With love for Tom and Ned and Dick and Joe
And Mary, Jane and Alise and then still more
For birds and bees and flowers and trees and then
For rivers, streams, the sky, the earth, the wind.

I've so much love within this heart to give
That even tho the years one hundred score I live
There'll still be quite a bit of love left o'er
To take with me for angels on God's shore
And maybe I can use some love to build a stair
And take my friends to live with me up there.
