A Friend in Need

Shy is the little boy
with all the troubles of the world
No one to turn to
No where to go
All his anger ready to explode
If only someone was there
to hold his hand
Or say encouraging words to him
Out in the darkness
with no one to share
his inner most thoughts
and deepest cares
He wants to be free
and dance in the rain
But, nothing at all
will stop his pain
What do I say to my friend
whose heart does nothing but bleed?...
Yes, I know what I shall tell him
"Here is my shoulder"
"Use it to cry on, anytime you need"
