All the Difference

Sometimes I need to know that
I make a difference in your life
Every once in a while I start feeling
a little lost, especially when I start
thinking back to where we've been and
when I start wondering where we're going.
And every now and then ... I need
some things from you that I don't always get.
I'd like just for us to talk
a little more and touch a little more.
There are lots of times when I could use
a reassuring hug and the smile
that I love to see.
Just an occasional sign that you are still
happy with me. I'm not asking for much
Just enough to know from time to time
