ETERNAL FROST EXTREME MUSIC WEBZINE http://home.earthlink.net/~goden666/eternalfrost/issue13/demo.htm DEATHFROST to-411 self-released (2000) Deathfrost is some weird, weird shit for sure. Fuck, I don't even know what to say about it. Sounds like a mixture of techno drum programming and watery, metal-based guitar riffs. It definitely defies pigeonholing and comparison, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's good. The drum machine sounds terrible, but I get the impression this is the way he wanted it to sound. The songs are also far too overdrawn, averaging between four and six minutes. However, Deathfrost is without a doubt something that deserves to be heard, if only for being so different from the usual, and it makes for an enjoyable break between all the ear-pummelling I get from the standard death/grind/gore/black metal. Includes totally fucked-up covers of Black Sabbath's "Sweet Leaf" and AC/DC's "Given the Dog a Bone".
