Pull The Chain zine http://www.pullthechain.be ----------------------------------- Review of DEATHFROST "Dart Of Seth" Where to start? First of all, I would like to state that this demo cover without any doubt deserves a place for the most ugly and puerile covers of the decade (and believe me, we see lotsa stupid things)... even my six year old child (though he is not gifted at all (well, your son, that is! - Steph) can't draw so bad). Secondly, I have a fabulous high tech recording studio in my garage! At least, I think I do 'cos that's where it sounds this demo was recorded. On the musical ground, this dutch two pieces play what you may label as weird noisy black death metal with lotsa industrial surroundings which I'm not very fond of. The production is bad, vocals are not too convincing and the music sounds very simplistic to my ears. I don't know if they play that kind of stuff on purpose or if they simply wanna stay as far as possible from any commercial aim but I'm unable to find myself in this "Darth Of Seth". Music or noises experimentation... even the Alice Cooper cover is completely Deathfrostized. Make your own opinion. Georges http://nav.to/deathfrost deathfrost@c4.org hethidden@yahoo.com
