It's the first "Titus Crow" novel and first of the Lumley "Cthulhu Mythos" series featuring Crow et al. Another good place to start the series!
TRANSITION OF TITUS CROW, illustrated by JUDITH HOLMAN. DELUXE EDITION, $40; TRADE HARD COVER EDITION, $25. This is the second of the Lumley "Cthulhu Mythos" novels. Titus Crow escapes temporarily from the vengeance of the Old Ones and undergoes a strange transformation. CLOCK OF DREAMS, illustrated by DAVE CARSON. DELUXE EDITION, $42.50; HARD COVER EDITION, $26.50. De Marigny tries to rescue Titus Crow, who is trapped in HPL's dreamland... beyond the aid of the Elder Gods of Elysia. SPAWN OF THE WINDS, Illustrated by LINDA MICHAELS. DELUXE EDITION, $42.50; HARD COVER EDITION, $26.50. Horror and adventure with Hank Silberhutte, whose wild talent is that he can tune in telepathically to the Cthulhu Spawn. And then he tunes in to the beautiful woman who is actually Ithaqua's daughter....
IN THE MOONS OF BOREA, illustrated by JIM PIANFETTI. DELUXE EDITION, $45; HARD COVER EDITION, $27.50. Horror, adventure, romance! De Marigny inadvertantly ends up on Borea, and he and Silberhutte quest on Borea's 2 strange moons. 1st HC ed.
ELYSIA: THE COMING OF CTHULHU, illustrated by STEPHEN E. FABIAN. [DELUXE, O.P.] AVAILABLE IN HARD COVER EDITION AT $25 AND TRADE PAPER EDITION AT $8.50. Elysia is the FINAL novel in the Lumley "Cthulhu Mythos" series, never before published. (Primal Land and Dreamworld characters also appear!) The stars are right and Cthulhu and the other Old Ones are free. They plan to take revenge upon the Elder Gods who imprisoned them. And the Elder Gods are... old and forgetful. This, like Compleat Crow, is a first edition.
Frankly, even if you have a copy of this in a reprint edition, you might want to buy this first edition (even if only the trade paperback) for the artwork alone. (Never seen Fabian's art? check out The Compleat Crow, or the Schweitzer collections. You'll see what I mean.)
These 6 books (not including Compleat Crow) have now been pub-lished by Tor (2 novels to a book) but mine are the 1st hard cover editions.
THE COMPLEAT KHASH, Vol.1: Never a Backward Glance illustrated by JIM PITTS. DELUXE EDITION, $40; HARD COVER ED., $25. The entire set of "Tarra Khash" novelettes from Weirdbook, from the O.P. version of HOUSE OF CTHULHU AND OTHER TALES OF THE PRIMAL LAND, and from the scarce Italian magazine, KADATH. Together, they form a novel of fantasy/horror adventure. These aren't specifically Cthulhu Mythos tales, but are related, and fit into the general "Lumley mythos" cycle which includes his "Dreamworld" series, and his "Cthulhu Mythos" series and his "Theem'hdra" (Primal Land) stories. First Edition.
THE COMPLEAT KHASH, Vol.2: Sorcery in Shad illustrated by JIM PITTS. DELUXE EDITION, 42.50; HARD COVER EDITION, $26.50. Yibb-Tstll's acolyte, willingly or unwillingly, must open the gates to earth for the Cthulhu Spawn. But... could that acolyte turn out to be Tarra Khash himself!? Swords-and-Cthulhu-Mythos novel, with many characters from Vol. 1. 1st American & 1st HC ed.
As far as I know these 2 editions are the only ones in print in the US.
...consists of three novels and this collection of shorter pieces:
ICED ON ARAN and Other Dream Quests (3 shorter pieces, and two outstanding horror novelets about Hero and Eldin). Beautifully illustrated by Stephen E. Fabian. Deluxe edition, $40; hard cover, $25. A book I am proud to have published. 1st American & 1st hard cover ed.
In the novels two waking-worlders (David Hero and Eldin the Wan-derer) go adventuring in H. P. Lovecraft's "dreamland," where they en-counter HPL himself (masquerading as Randolph Carter), + King Kuranes, Zura the zombie queen, and the Eidolon Lathi. Swords and sorcery? Yes! Horror? Yes, that too. Each book is available in a hard cover edition and a trade paper edition at $21.00 and $7.50, respectively. The titles are HERO OF DREAMS, il. by JEAN CORBIN SHIP OF DREAMS, il. by ALLEN KOSZOWSKI MAD MOON OF DREAMS, il. by DAVE CARSON. These 3 books are FIRST EDITIONS. (All four of these books have been reprinted by Tor in paperback, but I hope you'll like my versions.)

A "must" for the weird-tale fan who also likes excellent poetry. I made way too many of these, but I don't care---now you can still buy them without paying five times the cover price for OP editions. My favorite fantasy poet, how about you?
And my first two "Weirdbook Press" books, in the 2-column WEIRDBOOK format.
THE GOTHIC HORROR AND OTHER WEIRD TALES, by the late George T. Wetzel (il. by Tim Kirk). 64 pp, 8.5"x11." Fewer than 30 (out of 250) hard cover copies left; fair warning: some plastic dust jackets were badly creased when packed.
HOLLOW FACES, MERCILESS MOONS, by William Scott Home. Illustrated by FABIAN. 96 pp, 8.5" X 11." Paper, $5; [HC, O.P.]
WEIRDBOOK 23/24, hard cover edition of the twentieth anniversary issue of WEIRDBOOK (1988), $30.00. Limited to 200 copies. It features a host of excellent writers, including Brian Lumley, Richard Tierney, Joseph Payne Brennan, Adrian Cole, Peter Tremayne, Ardath Mayhar, & Jessica Salmonson; plus art and poetry. "The best hard cover collection of the year," quoth one reader! (The 170-copy tenth-year hard-cover is long O.P. and now being offered at high prices by dealers.)
Add $2.50 for the first book ordered and $1 for each extra book. All prices are in U.S. dollars. Outside the U.S.: Do not write "US $" on a foreign check, because my bank won't cash it. Instead, please pay by Giro bank check, postal money order, or a check on a US bank account.
Well, my PSA seems to be back to normal, so I've decided to forge onward (whoops! "forge" may not be an ideal word to use in a literary context) er, to push onward and produce more books. Come on, the world NEEDS more books!!!!!
I have three books in the planning stage, of which two are fairly close to publication as I write these notes in late May, 1998. The Janet Fox collection, which some of you ordered multiple moons ago, will be the last of the three to come out. Sorry to keep you in suspense like that!
Meanwhile I am currently collaborating with other publishers on the books shown below. You may order from me or from my partners.
BRIAN LUMLEY's GHOUL WARNING
is a collection of weird poetry by our favorite weirdist. This is the first American publication of a book originally printed in England quite a few years ago and very hard to find in the rare book market. This version is illustrated by DONALD W. SCHANK, who was originally the driving force behind this production! W. PAUL GANLEY: PUBLISHER is collaborating with NECRONOMICON PRESS to produce this. Limited edition hardcovers and trade paper edition. Order now at $12 and $30 for the limited trade paper & limited hard cover respectively. [These prices aren't firm; they're estimates; so I will refund overpayments when send-ing the books. Or I may bill you for any extra and then again, I may not.]
REFUGEES FROM AN IMAGINARY COUNTRY
a new collection by DARRELL SCHWEITZER. (It's profusely illustrated by Stephen E. Fabian a good reason to buy this book even if you haven't learned to read yet.) Here are 18 tales of fantasy and horror, including the title piece, The Death of Falstaff, and a "Tom O'Bedlam" novelet, The Last Dangerous Lunacy. W. PAUL GANLEY: PUBLISHER is collaborating with OWLSWICK PRESS to produce this one. The text alone is over 240 pages! Hardcover and trade paper editions prices: trade paper, $15; hard cover, $30 (signed, numbered, limited to 200 copies). (No slipcased edition.) These prices are also estimates but probably more accurate.
I am expecting both of the above to be out in late summer or autumn.
DARK FANTASY COLLECTION by Janet Fox
I hope we can at least get this in press by the end of the year, and I will probably do another catalog mailing about then. Please keep the faith.
AMANITA BRANDY is a small fantasy poetry magazine . #1 is O.P . #2 and #3 are $2.00 each (cf "premiums"). I plan a #4 in 1998, if all goes well.
ART PORTFOLIO: A Collection of the Symbolic, by D. M. Papke, a Buffalo artist with a strong interest in myth and fantasy. Eleven Kodak color reproductions suitable for framing; numbered, signed, limited to 100 copies. $35 ($20 with any order of over $100 retail from catalog).
SUBSCRIPTIONS: Although I've cancelled production of WEIRDBOOK with issue #30, I will still be doing some publishing, and in fact I have every intention of producing more issues of WEIRDBOOK ENCORES and AMANITA BRANDY. WEIRDBOOK subscribers who did not apply for refunds will probably get some of these.
The 3 books listed below are out of stock because they have been sold back to their authors. Do not order them from me. Order as noted below.
EBON ROSES, JEWELLED SKULLS, fiction and artwork by James William Hjort. 96 pp., 8.5" X 11". Paper, $5.75; HC, $16.50. Includes "Cthulhu's Gold" and others that are borderline Cthulhu mythos. SLAB'S TAVERN and Other Uncanny Places, by John Gregory Betancourt. 96 pp. HC, $15; deluxe signed edition, $35 (limited to 150 copies). The first collection by this prolific SF/fantasy writer. Illustrated by Hugo-winning artist GEORGE BARR. I love this book; it's pretty; it's fun (horror, fantasy, humor, easy-to-read style), and it's only $15. (I should've charged $20 [that's what dealers told me].) Now order these from Wildside Press, 522 Park Ave., Berkeley Heights NJ 07922.
PULPTIME, by P. H. Cannon. 96 pp, 2nd printing. Hardcover edition only, $15. H. P. LOVECRAFT and SHERLOCK HOLMES team up to solve a mystery in 1925. Based on HPL's letters from that period, and told "as if" by Frank Belknap Long (Foreword by the real Long). Afterword by ROBERT BLOCH. Period-piece illustrations by STEPHEN E. FABIAN. Armchair Detective said, "Everyone involved should be proud of the result." Horror Show said: "Pulptime is prime rib. Gobble it up." My most popular book: I've sold over 2000 copies of this book, and only one person (a reviewer what do they know!!!) said he disliked it! Well, you can't please everybody. The last few copies are available from Necronomicon Press, P O Box 1304, West Warwick RI 02893.

THE WEIRDBOOK ENCORES are 32-page magazines containing material originally accepted for WEIRDBOOK... an effort to cut down on the overstock. Some were done by litho, others by mimeo (or Gestetner). #'s 12, 13, & 14 were typeset by my Mac/LASER system and reproduced by xerox. #1 is O.P., and #2 is FREE with any order (see the heading Premiums). #'s 3-9 (entitled EERIE COUNTRY) are $2 each, and #10, published as The Weirdbook Sampler, is $3. The later issues (starting with #11) are also $3 each and are being published under the WEIRDBOOK ENCORES title. Why not try a copy of the newest one (14)?with fiction by John Wysocki, Ralph E. Vaughn and James P. Roberts, and art by Koszowski. I still intend doing more of these in future even though WEIRDBOOK itself has been discontinued. Exactly when this will happen (still in 1998?) I won't try to guess.
I also list (from time to time) other small press items available and also used & rare books usually one-of-a-kind items. If interested, please ask for these. Address [email protected]
PS I do not take orders over the internet, do not accept charge cards. You can email me to ask me to hold a book from my used book list but you have to utilize the services of the US post office to send me a check or money order. Sorry about that and thanks for your interest. WPG
