Moonlight Sonata
The sweet, seductive songs
The ghostlike melodies chilling the air
A moonlight sonata of it's own right
As sun succumbs to the earth
And the moon arises
to carress the velvet sky
overhead.
To bitter winds of a frosty forest
A specialty to those who enjoy
The scent of the snow
The light slap of the chilly wind
The dusting of snowflakes on your nose
Like the feathered wings of a dove
Flying its way to the warmth of the south
Like those of us not liking
The challenging snow.
And the waves, gently lapping
At the still warm sand of the shore
The seat oats sway in the evening breeze
It's charm in the motion of to and fro
To and fro
In harmony  with the soft wind
In the damp sand, ridden with secrets
And with the touch of the sea.
