A Help

Introduction

There's no true 3D effect without viewing 2 (slightly) different images with both eyes. Because your screen is just boringly flat I assume, it normally shows the same image to both eyes, so we need a trick.
I have chosen to present my pictures in 3 different formats suitable for stereoscopic viewing: parallel-vision, crossed-eyes and red-blue glasses.

Formats

Parallel-vision

Logo used:

In this mode, the left image is on the left and the right image on the right of your browser. You need to look at the left image with your left eye, to the right image with your right eye, like watching far away, but focussing on the screen.
Pros:You don't need glasses and the 3D effect is often deepest.
Cons:It requires some experience/efforts and the distance between the 2 images is limited by the spacing of your eyes (5.5 to 7 cm). Make sure that the distance between the white dots on your screen is about 6.2 cm (2.4 In).
Crossed-Eyes

Logo used:

Now the left image is on the right and the right one on the left. You should then cross your eyes to view the picture.
Pros:You don't need glasses and the size of images is not as much limiting as in parallel viewing.
Cons:It requires some experience/efforts. The image depth is usually somewhat reduced compared to parallel viewing.
Anaglyphs

Logo used:

A single image is displayed, but it contains two, as can be seen on edges of objects. The image is a composite of the red component of the left image and the green/blue components of the right image. Visualization requires glasses with a red filter over the left eye and a cyan filter over the right eye.
Pros:The size of images is not limited and it requires little effort.
Cons:The result is not as nice because of the color filtering: red objects (often flowers in my experience), and to a lesser extent blue objects in particular are quite disturbing. You need to have the glasses !

Hints

For best results, keep some of the black border around pictures (do not adjust your browser window to the size of pictures).
Parallel-vision You need to adjust your display to ~ 100 dpi or more (because each picture is 260 pixels wide). Then, the trick is to try looking way beyond the screen first without focussing at all. You'll see 4 images (2 with each eye), 2 of which should eventually fuse. The white dot on top of both images should also fuse at the same time. Next, the image in the center should slowly become clear (focussed) and you can start exploring...
Crossed-eyes An easy way is to hold a pen between the screen and your eyes so that it is aligned with the white dots at the top of images when you close both (but not at the same time !) the right and the left eye. Then look at the pen. The image should then be fused in the background (but will probably be unfocussed in the beginning). Relax without actually trying to look at the picture in the beginning it will slowly become clear. The farthest yor are from the screen, the easiest it should be (but with less visible details).
Anaglyphs To get the full picture, your screen resolution should be adjusted to over 800x600 (pictures have a resolution of 520x680). However, you should get the 3D effect (on a truncated area of the picture) even at lower resolutions. The 3D effect should come rapidly and easily after wearing the glasses with the red filter on the left eye and the blue filter on the right eyes, but it still may take a few seconds.
