Florida Man Needs Rare Transplant

Frank J. Guarino, Jr. of 44 Pinehurst circle, Ormond Beach, is in need of a multiple
organ transplant. Frank has been seriously ill for over a year, and is currently in
Cedar's Hospital in Miami. He awaits a rare transplant of his liver, stomach, small
bowel and pancreas. The surgery cannot be performed without a deposit of at least
$300,000. The transplant team believes that this surgery must be performed within the
next week or two for Frank to survive.

Despite the fact that he has health insurance with Humana, his claims for full or partial
transplant coverage have been denied. A spokesperson for Humana states that he does
    not meet their medical criteria.

A long time area resident, Frank is an employee of Monahan Travel Service, Ormond
Beach. He established and manages the ski division, known as Florida Snow Tours.
An avid skier, he is past president of the Daytona Beach Ski Club. He has also been
active in the Florida Ski Council.

Friends and co-workers have set up a trust fund through the charitable organization,
    the Organ Transplant Fund, Inc.

Tax-deductible donations may be sent to the Organ Transplant Fund, Inc. P.O. Box
5171, Ormond Beach, FL 32175-5171. Donations are payable to the Organ Transplant
