The Pain of Love

Molly Mande 1997

What do you do when there's that pain?

the spliting agony that wrenches your soul?

LIke your heart's being torn from it's place

and riped up by an unyealding hand....?

Love has it's joys, but then there's pain

a pain greater than any other known.

Is it worth it? And can we survive?

And why do we withstand the agony?

For the joy of love? For the extacy?

But what when it never comes??

And we're left with the searing of our souls

as a constalation for our loss?

Molly Mande 1998

Beauty shrouds him like a mask

a cape of the purest silk

billowing out about his form

beconing from all, a second look.

And from his eyes, the stars shine

and from his smile the sun

and leaves me wondering why he chose

me to be his only one.

Tranquilid, like a sunlit pond

his eyes transfix mine

even gods have to envy

the lumanence of his smile.

None could match the one before me

not even I can resist.

His voice grasps me in a trance

and I'm but sand for him to sift.

His beauty is endless

like my love for him remains

because it's the beauty in his heart

that will eternelly sustain.
