NOESIS - Philosophical Research On-Line

"With Noesis we have reworked the limited area search technology developed at the University of Evansville and first used to power Argos and Hippias to create such a specialized "library." By consolidating the work of professional philosophers in a search engine/index combination, we have created a manifold within cyberspace that allows scholars to maintain their own work at their host institutions and simultaneously have that work disseminated in a meaningful manner next to the work of other scholars simply by putting their work on the Internet. The result is this encyclopedic collection of philosophy authored by professionals in the field."
