Walk Your Wire
Sometimes you have to shoulder the blame,
If you want to extinguish the flame.
You may have to walk a long line,
If you want to make that train in time.
Don’t let anyone stand in your way,
Push past and through to the light of day.
Hell or high water can’t slow you down,
Miss one step and you may drown.
One day someone will come after you,
Don’t let them change what’s true.
Fight as hard as you possibly can,
Hold your head high and be a man.
No one is going to do things for you,
Your dreams are yours from old to new.
Make them true and make them strong,
And heaven knows you can’t be wrong.
Go ahead and be someones hero,
Don’t let your chances amount to zero.
Stand high if you stand in the flames,
Don’t play the people’s mind games.
Be the leader and be one that’s true,
Do this and people will come to you.
Don’t let the walk slow you a bit,
Go through it all using nothing but wit.
Just do what you have to,
And dreams will come anew.
Don’t slow down for any time,
Walk toward the bell’s chime.
Run as hard as you may,
Break barriers in the way.
Walk through the fire,
Walk the wire.
