I you are looking for a great informational source on any type of photography, the next best hing to usenet are the photoshopper forums, the list of which can be found here.
If, per chance, you might happen to make a 4x5 large format camera, or are looking for a way to get into large format photography cheaply, I highly reccomend visiting Bender Photographic. Although I have not yet completed the camera, The reviews I have heard say that it promises to be a great investment!
The Best, most reliable photo supply by mail order place you will ever find in B&H in new york - for anyone who managed to find their way to this site and NOT find B&H, here it is.
This is A site for making banners and graphical words. It
Has the Ability to Do Several Special Effects And Background/Foreground
Changes. That, in Combination with its 50+ fonts, makes this a
site worth visiting.
Pixelsite
is a site which enables you to easily create buttons for your website. It
is a really cool thing that saves lots of time from doing it by hand,
and its free- all you have to do is sign up with your name and e-mail-- that's it!
VRL's Imaging Machine is a site that
has a bunch of really cool filters through which you can put any graphic in almost all
standard formats. It conveniently spits it out the other side, after distorting it in
some way.
The First Book I ever bought on HTML was Called
"Project Cool's Guide
To HTML." It Came with A Page Where You Could Write Trial HTML, to see
if it would work. It's A Really Cool Site!
Dave Central Is A Page Full
Of All of the Very Coolest Utilities for All Platforms. Most of the utilities are
web related, so they are of most use to people like me.
Another Really Neat Page Full Of Free Utilities is
Webmasters Free Tools. They Are of Plenty of Use To All Joes, Dans, Peters, Susans, Janes,
Williams, Richards, Jennys, Megans, and Wendys: Not Just Webmasters. Although, I'm afraid
that if Your name happens to be Michael, You Will Not Like This Page.
GIF Wizard is a great online program which is designed to shrink
the file size of GIFs. It is made specifically to shrink GIF89A (Animations) but it works on all files of this format.
VERY Efficient. Sometimes the site is slow, but it is still one of my favorites.
Cool Tool Of The Day
is a really neat site which features (guess what...) a different tool
for computers every day. It's really neat! This Page Goes Hand In hand
With Dave Central, but they have different tools on them.
Trailerpark Free Sponsored Web Pages!
Although they are constantly running out of space, they are making new
space at the same time. If you get them to e-mail you when they have space,
its a really cool deal! They put up my other home on the web-- look at the bottom
of the page. Excellent Site!!!
Assuming you have Paint Shop Pro (and everyone should), you might be at a loss as to
what you can do with it- at least in terms of creating new graphics- from scratch.
Fear no more! PSP Web Graphics is a site
dedicated to giving ideas for use with paint shop pro. You can make really cool
things!
City Wander Photo Gallery is the home page of a budding photographer like myself. The writer of this page is one of the most polite people I have ever had any interaction with, and her page is the most technically flawless non-commercail page I've ever seen. It's definitley worth a look-see.
