As told on page 19, when gallery .31 stopped, COR DE NOBEL worked by fits and starts.
Around 1980 he painted a few series again. Together with his wife, ASTRID VAN DER VLUGT ,
he started buying the work of young artists in his neighbourhood and in 1984 they started a gallery for applied arts.
This gallery got the name: .GAAF , a name which can not be stranslated, but it means something like "in mint condition",
(Simply Perfect). The motivation for doing this was the recognition of the influence that "applied art" brought
to bear on "expressive art" . This gallery existed for 11 years.
Nearly 120 exhibitions were presented, with the work of more then 240 designers: architecture,
ceramics, furniture, jewellery, fashion.
