THE MEADOW

"Greetings. My name is Illusion, and I look after things here in the Meadow. Most of our youngsters reside here, as well as our pregnant and nursing mares. It is always warm and sunny in the Meadow, that is, except when it rains - but then, again I like the rain, so who's to say whay's pleasant and what's not? I suppose I should pose that one to Wildfire, he always gets a kick out of questions like that. Anyway, feel free to enjoy the sunshine - or rain - and don't hesitate to talk to or touch us. We certainly don't mind the attention!"
Age: 3 years
Gender: stallion
Personality: An outwardly friendly, yet oddly sad young stallion and one of Justice's first foals. Possessed of a gentle and poetic soul, Illusion has been appointed chief songsmith of the herd, despite his young age.
Age: foal
Gender: filly
Personality: A shy little orphan filly, Daystar has a sweet, innocent way about her that endeared her to the mares right away.
Age: 8 years, foal, 10 years (respectively)
Gender: mare, colt, stallion
Personality: This family wandered into the Enchanted Glen several years ago after their original herd was lost. They tend to stick closely together, but have gradually begun to socialize more with their fellows, and have proved apt thinkers and witty conversationalists. They are all quite proud, and perhaps a bit too stoic, but that is only what is to be expected after a tragedy like the one they faced. If you have the time, ask Snowflake or Frost to tell you of their escape from Oracle River. It's quite a tale!
SPIRIT
Age: 4 years
Gender: mare
Personality: She's a high spirited lass who thinks quite highly of herself and her opinions. Don't let that restless, fiery exterior fool you, though. Spirit has a warm, gentle heart, though it manifests itself rarely.
Age: 24 years
Gender: stallion
Personality: One of our older stallions, Tango is a tough old crankster. If he snaps at you, don't be too offended, he just enjoys being bitter. He really is a sweetheart, though, once you can convince him that your not just a foolish young whippersnapper and that you truly care about what he has to say. Tango's favorite pastime is lazily soaking up sunshine in the Meadow.
STATS:
Age: 7 years
Gender: mare
Personality: A well mannered, yet dreamy mare with a sort of surprising cleverness that has earned her a distant respect from the others. She enjoys writing lyrical poetry and galloping in the sunshine.
STATS:
Age: 18 years, foal (respectively)
Gender: mare, colt
Personality: Belle is a quiet, respectable old mare who is one of the bulwarks of the Glen. She knows her stuff, and when she puts her hoof down, even Justice won't argue. Her little colt this year is Moonbeam, by Justice. He's growing to be quite a handsome little fellow, but he's still a little young to be labeled anything but cute. Justice has high hopes for him.
STATS:
Age: 6 years
Gender: stallion
Personality: An amicable jokester and chivalrous gentleman, Nightmare has charm even a pegasus would be jealous of, and that's saying quite a lot. He loves all things daring and romantic and is especially popular with the ladies.
STATS:
Age: 5 years
Gender: stallion
Personality: Actually, Cavalier hadn't intended to join the herd when he visited two summers ago while visiting his dear friend and blood brother, the alicorn Daedalus (who now resides on Glass Mountain). He enjoyed himself so much, though, he decided to stay! A skeptical, though warmhearted stallion, Cavalier enjoys debating almost as much as Wildfire and is much the best at games of skill, such as "horn fencing", do to his long association with the winged equine variety.
DARKSTAR
STATS:
Age: 8 years
Gender: stallion
Personality: A quiet, mysterious stallion who keeps to himself, Darkstar's favorite pastime is staring at the night sky alone, though occasionally he has been seen quietly chatting with Illusion. A tall, impression specimen!
STATS:
Age: 2 years
Gender: stallion
Personality: Full of energy and a true philosopher, if any of the unicorns could be described as a bon vivante', if would have to be Firespray... though Zephyr does come quite close. Never great in a debate because he can see both sides of an issue so clearly, Firespray is nonetheless fascinated with rhetoric and loves to listen to the other speak.
