The car below was my 15th Birthday present.
Yes, it was a happy birthday. Yes, it still needs paint. But
it's mine, I plan to have it painted and hopefully put the engine from
the station wagon into this car.... must have V8....... must have V8.......Anyways,
the car still has the original 235cu.in. engine with 3 spd manual transmission,
sometime working original radio, and four radial tires. Thank God
for Radial Tires. It had Bias plies originally. For the sake
of anyone who has never driven a car with bias plies, they follow the road
almost magically ?demonically? following every little groove and imperfection
in the road, and exiting pot holes -even mild ones- at an angle exactly
perpendicular to the edge of the pot hole. In other words, they jerk
viciously toward a path diverted from parallel to the road. Radial
tires made a huge difference. Now about that radio....
